My first impulse was to tell you that people with identical beliefs compete for resources all the time, but then you listed supply/demand of finite resources. Now you just sound contradictory. While religion no doubt plays a part in politics, I think the subjectivity of religious interpretation allows it to adjust to whatever political belief happens to be most convenient at the time. Religion is morally flexible. Christians, for example, can derive their politics from the Sermon on the Mount or from ancient Israel's policy on the invasion of Canaan.
Only when we're looking at six billion. It doesn't take much faith in humanity to believe wars won't exist with a population equivalent to say, North Dakota....
Einstein's quote recognizes the essential Truth that the human heart does NOT evolve. Anyone who disagrees with the quote is foolishly wedded to the idea that mankind is "perfectable." This is the fatal conceit which undermines Secular Humanistic ideologies (e.g. Marxism, et al.)
We all harbor a capacity for good AND evil. Each and every natural human on this planet -- past, present, and future -- desires that no one control them, but insist that they be allowed to control others...when we cannot even manage to control ourselves.
Add to this mix the disagreement as to the very existence of good and evil -- let alone which moral code should become the approved standard for measuring human conduct as "good" or "evil" so as to gauge a program of discipline necessary to "perfect" the individual or the application of sanctions and rewards necessary to encourage right behavior.
Even if you could convince every person on the planet to willingly and enthusiastically adopt a single standard of right and wrong, there will still be friction among human relations that may spark a war.

The reason for war is arrogance, which is the human trait that allows for evil IMO
As long as people put themselves above others and try to find a reason to put themselves on a pedestal, they will try and find ways to bring others down.

I'm actually shocked that anyone would disagree with what Einstein said. All one needs to do is look back at history to see war will always be with us in some fashion.

Ants wage war and practice slavery(some species are specifically just meant purely for enslaving other ants). They use mercenaries and forge alliances.
There..is no real punch line there lol. What I just said is the horrifying reality that is ants. These suckers also practice some version of "leave no man behind". You have ants going back to help other trapped ants.
