whenever the bond movie come i always get excited to watch his action.it has been known that Danial Craig has been the best amongst remaining bond stars. But my favorite is pierce brosnen.
while i hope the new James Bond movie will be much thrilling one.
I was really really disappointed in this new Bond film. It was a decent action movie, but it just didn't feel like a Bond film. I expected it to not be as good as Casino Royale, but this was probably one of my least favorite Bond films, because it didn't have much signature Bond moments. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Quote wise, they implied the "Shaken, not stirred" but didn't actually say it, and that was just about the only thing. Craig had a little charm with the ladies, but it still wasn't there. The action was decent, but lacked the suspense that Royale had. The bad guys just weren't menacing or intriguing enough compared to previous bad guys. The ending fight was also terrible. You knew the whole place was going to blow up when the bad guys had that horrible random dialog that lets us know in advance that it will blow up (you know, when they said "sounds unstable" referring to the energy cells that power the facility). So what ignites the explosions? A car ramming through the parking area door. That was ridiculous. So they build the facility in a way that a car hitting it blows it up? Yeah, that is totally believable. If they are going to make something unbelievable, make it more intricate than that at least.
Ok, rant over.

I disagree. Quantum of Solace is easily in the my Top 5 as the Bond series goes. Probably 2nd on my list. All thanks to Daniel Craig who is now the best Bond in my book. If I compared this to Casino Royale I would say their tie but if I would had to choose I'd say Casino Royale was slightly better. The action as one of the film's main strong points. It's biggest obviously being Craig.
Things I loved about the film.
-Daniel Craig! He carried the film and is best bond in my mind. Most Fleming.
-Smart direction on Forster's part aside from the editing. Man had a vision.
-Big thumbs up to Dench and wright for their roles as M and Leiter. Hope they return.
-Not too long.
-Loads of action. But not dumb Brosnan action, good action. Especially when Craig actually DOES the stunts.
However this film was far from perfect indeed.
-Wasn't a fan of the "Bourne Supremacy" style fast editing. But I could still make out what was happening, except how exactly Bond got rid of the last boat.
-Thought the opening titles was crap overall.
-Hated the subtitles for the locations.
-How Bond survived he plane fight was a bit unrealistic. But hey it's Bond.
But these were my only gripes about the film.
As for your complaint of the "Bond moments" I don't think you have to say the line in every movie. There are films where there are no Q. Moneypenny is nice but not required. Again these films(Craig era) are smart and for the new generation and I don't think its so bad that they are distancing themselves from the formula a bit. I men if you want to go with the formula look at where that got the Brosnan films.
I love where there taking the franchise and look forward to seeing Bond 23.
Things I want to see in Bond 23.
-Daniel Craig
-Martin Campbell directing, David Arnold composing.
-More of "Quantum" and Mr. White.
-More Judi Dench and Jeffrey Wright.
-More Aston Martin DBS V12(best Bond car IMO)
-Opening gunbarrel.
-If goes w/ plot Q and Moneypenny.
Was a great film; not quite as good as Casino Royale, though. IMO, they put way too much action that was too close together and not enough intrigue and plot development that Casino Royale balanced nicely.
Craig is definitely my favourite Bond of all time, does such a good role as the suave yet viciously lethal British agent. I hope he's 007 for at least another 3 films. As above, I do look forward to the next installment.

I was a bit disappointed. I watched Casino Royale again right before going to see Quantum Of Solace just to get in the mood. I thought Quantum's plot was a bit simple and boring, the acting was great, but the writing, some of the direction, and especially the editing annoyed me. There were some great edits, but there were also some really bad and unnecessary edits that took me out of the film, whereas everything about Casino Royal was perfect.
I would like for Martin Campbell to return to the director's seat but have to admit Forster brought some things that couldn't be achieved otherwise. Like the "Opera scene" for example.

Oh, and was there ever even a part in the film where Bond used a machine gun with a silencer as was shown in every trailer and movie poster for Quantum Of Solace???
I have been a fan of the Bond series for years, I even find something to enjoy in the crappy ones but I had my doubts about the reboot of the series trying to update and make Bond more realistic. Where it worked in Casino Royale (not completely to my satisfaction as it was a great movie but I still think it lacked some of the charm that many associate with Bond) I have been hearing really bad things about this one and I am skeptical about seeing it in theaters.

Thought the plot was a bit confusing (didnt catch the part about why he was looking for Vespa's ex boyfriend to start with?) and the secret society thing wasn't really elaborated on, all these important elite figures part of a grand scheme, yet Bond only goes for Greene.
I love how Craig is a bit of a beefcake Bond, capable of knocking down 3 agents in less than 10 second, wouldn't work with Brosnan or anyone else.
Oh, and where was the line 'Bond, James Bond'? Was hoping to hear that at some point, but no.
Overall, sweet movie, awesome action, plot was wonky though. Wonder how they'll top it for the next one.
does anyone know how bond found vesper's boyfriend at the end or am I the only one confused about that. and correct me if I'm wrong but he faked his own kidnapping, so mr white literally had nothing to do with vesper's death?
and was Mathis a double agent or not? At the end of Casino Royale M says "Well this proves that Mathis is innocent" but they still tortured him and what not. kind of confused about that.
