Two at once in a Mass Effect 3 Leviathan mission. I try using Black Widow to head snipe, I die. Try using Dark Channel and Overload for the shields, I die. Try using incendiary ammo and exploding them when they catch on fire, and I die.
Try running away, the place is so cramped there's nowhere to reallly go, I die.
**** banshee's.
Not dropping difficulty, I want to beat the game on the second hardest.

No, it does. I use him all the time, I just figured Javik already filled his role and would be more interesting for a "catch the reaper killer: mission.
And I almost never use the ship AI, and have been bringing her ever since the Geth missions. I suppose her skill set isn't as useful outside of those missions.

I'm all in on Soldier myself. Ended up going for shields and health upgrades with the fitness and such, and think maybe that was a mistake as shields and health melt like butter in a microwave no matter what and your damage is too pathetic to get you out of dodge.
For example dozen headshots with black widow barely does enough damage to get them to half health. Even despite using Dark Channel and Overload on one of them.
And I have TWO to deal with.

You JUST manage to defeat an armada and two banshee's side by side, and they throw you into an escort mission with a drone against another endless armada, and more banshee's. Banehee's in cramped areas are hard enough without having to worry about defending a drone's health.

Saves from the first and second game, so figured that would be good enough. But I keep getting insta killed by Banshee's, they either teleport and grab me, or the biotic balls follow me around the corner. And for some reason they often ignore my AI companions who are RIGHT NEXT TO THEM, and charge right at me.
Maybe because the AI is just standing there not even shooting at them?

I tried a new tactic. I call it running away to the other end of the map.
Worked fairly well.

My Black Widow topped out at level V and I read you can reach level 10, I assume that only happens on second playthroughs?

iirc, the usual thing to do is play 3 through on normal or hard, get levelled up, then tackle legendary. That way you have most if not all your powers/abilities for it.
I also played soldier. I really don't remember the strategy or team make up, to be honest. It was back when ME3 first came out. I think when I was playing on Insanity I would tailor the team for the individual mission. So if I remembered a mission having a lot of enemies with barriers I'd bring along, Liara, I think. She's the one with the ammo that is strong against barriers if I remember correctly.
I think for the bonus power I used carnage. I would generally just use adrenaline and then just go all out while time was slowed down and try to take out a dangerous enemy during that time. Then hide and wait for it to recharge.
The only point in ME2 or 3 that I remember being kind of difficult was the collector ship in ME2.
EDIT: Reading the above posts, I see you are doing it on your first run. You're going to be weaker than if you did it the way Pr said, which is the way I also did it. So you made it harder on yourself.

I figured the difficulty levels applied to first runs, and became modified or defunt on new game plusses (That's usually when harder levels unlock)
Sounds like they went the Gears of War route, where normal really means hard if you solo, and hard is normal or easy if you coop.
Essentially balanced around an assumption of cooping, which kind of irritated me back in the day (Same way I would have been agitated at required online play for the endings of Mass Effect 3, before the extended cut made it doable offline.)

It used to be that Mass Effect had a level lock where you could only get to a certain level in one playthrough. You used a second playthrough to get to max level and unlock everything.
I think they got rid of it in the LE but I'm almost certain that was how it used to be.
Actually not bad for a fan game. The four turtles are there, plus playable Splinter, Casey, and even April. You have Turtles in Time moves, a dash, and a metered special and projectile.
Challenge isn't exactly balanced though, some of the enemies are so quick you can't avoid taking hits. Bosses especially will just kick you whenever they want, jumping or strafing is no defense. Also some of the designs scream "amateur".
Still, well worth playing.
