Really wish we actually got to see Whis training the boys in the manga... Perhaps a personal experiment of his to try and draw out a Saiyan's latent potential from a younger age..?

Whis looks like something out of the Final Fantasy III Nintendo strategy guide..

Whis: "To think that Goku and Hit would team up. How rare."
Beerus: "Whatever, just knock that guy out!"
Goku: "Damn! He's not changing his expression at all!"
Hit: "We're not going to make any progress like this!"
Hit: "What's the matter?"
Goku: "There's another wall I gotta overcome."
Hit: "Wall? You mean a transformation above Blue?"
Goku: "Something like that."
Seeing how easily Universe 9 was destroyed, the Gods of Destruction for U1/5/8/12 are glad their own universes are exempt from the tournament. https://i.imgur.com/nHEStGA.jpg
Hit is exactly how strong he should be, he was overpowered in the anime.
He's still incredibly strong compared to most. Anime simply overblew him, along with unnecessary additional amps for Goku and Vegeta to compensate.
Anyways, as long as Whis is portrayed well. She's my favorite pre op trans woman ever.

A suppressed Jiren was essentially stalemating MSSB Goku and Hit(who seems to be ~ MSSB Goku in the manga) with one arm each. When Jiren finally got a more serious, he overpowered Jiren's temporal manipulation, and pwned him.
Flip side, Beerus was also "playing around" with MSSB Vegeta, and proceeded to one-shot pwn him when he got a little pissed.
Hard to gather anything from that, tbh... Still hoping we get some *explicit* statements/showings in the manga in regards to how Jiren compares to Beerus, though.

Not so sure about that with regards to the U6 Tournament arc. The idea that even without his assassination techniques, Hit (who isn't a god, and doesn't train) is dozens of times stronger than a Super Saiyan God--which is several classes above the likes of Majin Buu--is retarded.
The anime handled him far better since then, though, and I agree that his depiction in the manga's ToP was pitiful.

Far less retarded than Freeza attaining SSB-level with four months of random training with Tagoma... Or Goku and Vegeta boosting their powers by several orders of magnitude in, like, 30mins.
I mean, at least Hit had special techniques/abilities to help put him on that level, was hundreds of years old, and had some sort of inherent adapt on the fly ability that allowed him to expand said abilities in the heat of battle. /shrug

If I had to guess, Toyotaro/the manga writers just want to get to Jiren fast as possible, since now they know that's all the ToP arc is mainly, filler notwithstanding. Whatever allows the manga to move on post-ToP I suppose...
