Stop. Star Wars is still the most successful film of 2017 box office wise. It is a victim of its own success and can't always outdo Star Wars. When Avatar 2 comes out I'm sure they will e hoping it comes close to the original but if it doesn't and makes well over a billion that isn't a loss. I heard the same nonsense when Avengers 2 didn't make as much as Avengers 1. Who cares, Golgo.
The only time this becomes an issue is when it massively underperforms like the Justice League and might not even turn a profit.
