Idk, the worst crime against free speech that comes to mind is when the SNP majority Scottish Parliament fined Count Dankula for making a stupid nazi joke (like nobody has ever done anything like that before). But yeah, I guess the police does do stupid shit to Tommy Robinson for speaking out against obvious crimes committed by muslims because of so many stupid people from the far right and the far left.
Not sure what a Starmer run government is going to do differently. He's not very clear on that, and even if he was he's proven he's a lying c**t.
Regardless the economy will improve no matter whose in power. Inflation is already going down, energy bills are down and the BoE have stopped increasing interest rates. The Economy goes up and down in cycles.
We should give socialists a chance. Better than these c**** who keep supporting more wars instead of spending the money on us.
But the powers that be keep proving they will sabotage that kind of leadership/government ever getting into power, both here and in the States.

If your Green party is like our Green party, it unfortunately always has 0.00% chance of winning, and all it does it help Republicans (here) get elected and we end up with people like Trump and probably your Boris.
So I'd consider voting for your Labour, even if you don't love it.
it's not what they are trying g to pass, although anything they deam as un british is a target. It's what they try and prosecute. I'm off out, so I'll write so.ething Monday with a couple of examples. Have great weekend guys.
Tories have no chance of getting in, so the situation is not that desperate. Strategy is if enough votes like mine go elsewhere, then either Labour will go more anti-war (to get them back), or a third party like Lib Dems can change their policy to gain our votes. (Lib Dem used to be pretty cool and a decently sized third party back in the day, before they sold out).
Either way change won't happen if we keep doing the same thing with our vote. There's a little more hope here for change than in the US, where the entire system is built against a third party growing (from what I understand).
Fair enough if you're in a position to waste your vote in a protest manner. I've done that before being in California and it being a heavy Blue state.
A 3rd party that could win would be ideal here, if only to make the other two more willing to abide by what they say they'll do. But it happening is a pipedream.
Libdems may have sold out, but it was to continue a government and arguably, the coalition government was a lot better than any of the Tory governments since...
I think they're moving back further left, like they were before Clegg.
I wouldnt worry about it being a pipe dream. Big changes dont happen overnight, but we gotta do our bit IMO.
Voting for lesser evil only makes sense to me when an Alt right racist might get in. As in something Substantially worse and more dangerous, who have a good chance of actually winning.
Well they havent called for a ceasefire, so not sure how left they can be.
They also wont get far until they remove everyone of them who voted to increase tuition fees with Tories.
Otherwise I agree the coalition was probably better than the pure Tory governments we got after.

The argument was stability. Like it or not, there are right wingers in this country and a compromise is better than nothing, as we've seen with these embarrassing Conservative led governments since.
Well speaking of right wingers, they got Brexit done by voting UKIP instead of Tories back in the day, then Tories offered them a referendum to get their votes back.
Point being voting elsewhere isn't a waste. It shows the other parties there's a whole load of votes here that are up for grabs IF they actually offer some sort of compromise.
