He was surprised by his spider sense warning going off. It normally is a jail free card since Spiderman is what say it with me.......super fast....to avoid incoming etc etc..... Growing up, Captain Planet was probably the one guy that gave off a similar sense of presence and safety as Superman when he showed up on a scene.
He'd show up, smile for the camere, awesome theme plays, he does awesome shit, then leaves.

I can post 20 scans where Spider-man does not react or reacts too late to his spider sense because he's distracted. Depends on how it's written really. So it's not a get out of jail free card. Not trying to downplay Logan's speed, he's displayed insane speed many times, its just this is not one of these times. He attacked from behind while Spock was distracted. He didn't even know Logan was councious again. And when one feels or hears danger from behind ones first instinct is usually to turn around, not dodge.Im not really assuming it though. So Spiderman has been hit with warning based off of distractions.
Yet no distraction was shown there. So that is a moot point.
He had a warning and then realized it was Logan unless you think he can say all that as Logan is close to him. Then we'd just be assuming talk/panel time. Either way. I could also show you many times spider warning going off via sneak attack and Spiderman being fast enough to avoid. That goes either way.
Plus if you assume he couldn't get out due to claws close by to him.
I can assume Logan held back more then claws, in there first fight due to Spock confession of friend ship.
Which is silly IMO since Logan has never been shy of putting his claws out there against even the real Spiderman.
