Spidey tricked the dude off the cliff. Did Batman trick Carnage into being scared of a bomb? Or did he trick Joker into being there to save him?

no.... does that however make the former any less a plot device?

which plot device is more directly effective to the characters in question?

well yeah. wolverine 32 pissed a lot of wolvie haters over other comic boards, his healing factor is f'n uber.

i dont know if spiderman could kill wolverine, but ill give this fight to him. hes much stronger, hes alot faster, hes considerably more agile and his spider sence can keep him out of danger.

wolverine might heal faster than spiderman but its not instant, a few buses and cars thrown at him will be too much for him to handle.

i suppose i should stop here, two pro spiderman posts in one night, i hope nobody accuses me of being a fanboy. although i think after wolverine8888 anything other than a wolverine fanboy would be a welcome change.

Wolverine has a healing factor, not a pain dampner if spidey hits him full force it is going to hurt like hell, yes after 2-3 seconds wolvy will be fine but spider-man can still hurt wolverine.

He can kill him, out of character.

Excessive bloodloss, loss of vital organs etc.

His healing is inconsistant though and some like hulk buster wolverine around here so...

i think it is very instant, remember that Ult X-men bendis one-shot where logan talks to this kid who kills people just by being near them, releasing toxins that "vaporize" organic matter, logan said his healing factor protects him. he wasnt even bothered by it.

and no youre not a spidey fanboy. no one is a spidey fanboy. remember "he is the most hated character in this forum next to the thing" 😉

Well spidey is my favourite character, not saying he can't loose, like alot of wolverine supporsters, who seem to think that because he has a healing factor he can't feel pain, and he can't sustain to much damage so the healing factor wont work. And i just think the Thing is awsome.

yeah hes aparantly immune to almost everything like that, poisons viruses etc. but i think actual physical injury gives him more trouble. i can dig around in my ultimate x men stuff and find something im sure. i remember him taking on saber tooth and saying that he woke up first. meaning he can be knocked out for a period. and spidermans alot stronger than sabertooth. and he can use his webbing to catapult wolverine into the air, if hes fast enough. a serious fall is what ended up koing wolverine and sapertooth in the first place i think.

Yeah if you look at ultimate x-men seeing as we seem to be using ult wolvy now, if you look in the blockbuster story wolvys healing factor became over loaded, not to mention it took him 2 days to recover from being shot, ok it was alot of bullets but if wolverine was so uber like every1 says he would have recoverd in 5 minuits.

Remember, he does whatever a spider can...

My firend is obsessed with wolverine and got pissed when I told him I thought spiderman had beat the x-men before. I cannot remember though. Do you know what comic that was and what happened?

I know wat your talkng about i got the issue somewhere, Spiderman never actually beats the x men, he managed to evade and avoid Colossus, Rogue, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine. "Basically he he was to fast for everyone even Nightcrawler who teleports.

Secret wars, he kept them all down and dodged them for the most part.

There, another vote for Spider-Man - not that he needs it 😆
