Man that is it fanboys, you just dont want to see him lose,
I JUST read a comic today where peter and logan change bodies,
Peter tries to run from the police and gets hit by a taser then he sits for a minute in LOGANS body,(wishes he was in his own) almost arrested then logan makes a diversion and peter gets away, I love wolverine when he is shown accurately, not kryptonian, what is the use of a healing factor when you don't get injured.
In another comic, Spidey destroys a villan with one kick the ultimates were having problems with (Iron Man was shot down, Cap was too busy dodging, Wasp was gone, Thor was attacked, and some other guy was losing) Spidey fights like one team with his efficiency AND thinking it is not JUST his physicality that allows him to prevail over wolverine.

Originally posted by CorderaMitchellThat's ultimates. not 616.You can't argue other worlds or else I could argue the world where Wolverine becomes preety much the ruler of manhatten because he's a vampire.

It's not canon to 616 though.
Read this thread look up some of the links and then post, I like spidey and wolvie because they are not gods, can you say the same for some of these guys they have no good reasons. If it happened it happened. By saying the same consistent accurate facts I have kept do not make him a god, and if you disagree with me , then look on page two of this and read those facts.
Originally posted by CorderaMitchellAll I see on page two is people argueing with that wolverine fanboy that thinks that wolverine is made out of something other than human muscle so can exceed peak human strength. . .

And the usual "Stats are all that matters" argument, which is ridiculous.
Nah I didn't get mildly mildly annoyed until I read the beginning and something someone else posted up, with people arguing the same debate that is on page four or five I believe.
I meant a link someone posted on the stats of both characters, but anyway with spidey, ( I think you would agree with me here that) stats are the last thing that matters. He hardly has passions in his fights, much less even fully concentrate. Regardless its more of people underestimating and not understanding spidey stats, because logan relies on his STATS on paper more than spidey does anyday. Spidey has used his intelligence and cunning in soooooo many situations where other character's STATS outclass him, or he is outnumbered, that he is perhaps the top noodle USER in the MU. He fights on his own and accomplishes things that some teams can't even handle.
Anyway I just want people to have knowledge on both sides before they post and let all bias go. If it is spidey vs. someone, the top statement is " the opponent takes this easily. Let it be Wolvie vs ridiculous odds, like magneto or something, and there is always a " well wolvie could." I think wolverineis funny and original much like spidey, and put them both together it becomes a masterpiece.
people keep using crap writing which is ridiculous also, because heroes always overcome those even with inferio stats, stats are often the only thing we have in a hypothetical debate however.

But that's what I mean about the stats thing.
These fights are more than just stats. otherwise no underdog could ever win. And that's what's great about alot of heros they do overcome greater odds.
There are some fights that are just ridiculous though.
Magneto could mop the floor with either spiderman or wolverine and both at the same time.
But that's because of his power. He is technically weaker and slower(physically h2h excluding his magnetic control) than either Wolverine or spiderman.
I just posted something about stats with an edit when you responded, and I try not to insult people or call them fanboys since it often discredits my own evidence, I get frustrated when I'm sick, I was with you before my graduation because I caught a fever, but I hope we are on at least decent terms even though we seem to have different opinions on all levels.
Well, truth is... stats aren't suddenly important anymore when the character you are defending, is technically outclassed hehe. Then people will come up with far fetched scenarios how the underdog will still win because of this and that.
That's all nice, and I like it too, when the underdog wins. In fact, some of the best fights are when the underdog wins.
But stats are more than just meaningless numbers. It's completely wrong to base your opinion on the stats alone, but they sure play a role in the (possible) outcome of a fight. A pretty big role too.
