History here in southern California is very…..Crapy in 10 grade we had world history and world history is basally learning about British history right before the colonization of the US then we would stay on the Revolution for like 2 months but we would look at it throw the British eyes instead of the Americans then we would talk about The Russian communist revolution for ever and then about Nazi Germany and that was it (are history teacher was the Baseball coach)…then in eleventh grade it was U.S history and we would go over the same things the civil war the Grate Depression and the cold war (but at lest I had a good teacher he was a Vietnam Vet) History is the most important subject and I think it is the most interesting way better then English or Math….
ChinaNiki> Cambodia in the 1980’s. Which part of it?
I guess most history being taught today is the “Great Men History”, as my high-school teacher called it.
We learn: The young Alexander conquered India.
Question: What? All by himself?? Woaw.
We learn: Caesar beat the Gauls.
Question: Hm? Didn’t he even have a cook with him?
We learn: Philip of Spain wept when his Armada went down.
Question: Was he the only one to weep.
We learn: King Christian IV built the Round Towers.
Question: Didn’t he even hire an architect?
We learn: Hitler invaded Poland.
Question: Again, all by himself?

Ugg I wish they world teach us some of that stuff the only thing on that list that I know anything about is Hitler invading Poland (Go Poland…sorry im Polish) and I don’t think any History teacher here has ever said anything about India. We learn the same stuff over and over Civil war, great depression, WWII, cold war…it gets kind off old after years and years
