really, physical attributes are one of the more obvious things to a person. I am not going to say "what a nice brain you have!" but looks aren't everything. I met some big jerks.

Probably a subconscious thing... we want healthy children so genetically we'd look for someone with the least amount of physical flaws

then why if we can see that our kids will be deformed or miss a leg or something, we don't all abort the pregnancy?

Not all women are shallow, not all men are assholes.

It's hypocritical, and a vague analysis to say every single man/woman/etc is, whatever you believe they are.

Well coincidently, the other day, I was on the internet and I came across a a site that had researched on this.

It said that in the old old, primitive days, like back to cavemen (if you believe in that), the women started to prefer handsome ones over the tough, strong and gruffy looking ones and we males evolved to look more handsome as a result.

This may not answer any questions, but just thought I would add it anyway.

😆 seriously people have different preferences and taste. the general pattern as media portays it show people are attracted to well built and well proportioned bodies and pleasant faces. centuries past in some cultures, men use to like plump bodies and uh... women didn't have a choice... 😆 unless they were rich and had a lot of influence in the family, then it was those young built peasant men with a strong dedication to please their wife. 😄
