Haha, well I wasn't that bad! I've just always had awful teachers. I mean English is such a subjective class, but they always push their own opinions on to things. For instance, last year, I had a teacher who would tell us her opinion before asking a question. Most kids would just regurgitate her opinion, and she wouldn't make them give any proof, but then whenever anyone had their own opinion, she would debate it with them for the entire class period. She basically discouraged people from having their own opinion, by making them do a lot more work, and that is why I hate English.
