my house was built by my great-grandmothers great-grandfather... so no
we dont even have ceiling lights in the living room, so we have to rely on lamps all the time

I rarely use ceiling lights. They hurt my eyes.

well it gets pretty annoying when you come home at night and you have to stumble around through the dark all the way to the other side of the room to turn the light on

Do the same thing. srug I've just learned to navigate in the dark.

i can navigate upstairs pretty well in the dark, even without my contacts in or my glasses on
its just tricky to navitgate the living room cause our dog likes to sprawl out on the floor and its hard to know hwere she is, plus trays get in the way at times
