if you gather all the fat and nasty film that gathers up on your stew inside the pots it can be used to make soap or nitroglycerin...
we can do both but for this site we will simply make soap..
you can extract lye from dry plants like hay and even wood ash...
simply soak the plant material in a bucket make a small hole and collect the water over and and over adding wood ash or plant material till you are happy with the strength of the lye.. eventually the water will become caustic... DONT USE CERTAIN METALS CAN CAUSE A REACTION OR EAT IT..
lye is an important part in soap making mixing lye with cooked fat and salt and you have a basic soap.. you can add certain items to give it a better smell or looking quality.. like oats, vallina or rose petals for scent.. etc etc..
now lets talk about diesel fuel it can be bought or siphon from anywhere..
did you know that?
did you know high quality fertilizer has large nitrate qualities?
real simple to extract just stick it all in water and boil it to collect the white crust or use cotton string and leave it in the water as it collects itself overnight its a slow process...
if you know what chemicals you want and what plants and animals has them it easy to extract them with very basic chemistry knowledge and cooking skills,,
after this we will talk about treating leather and skinning animals..
