About as far down south as you can go. Maastricht, you've probably never heard of it, but it actually was elected the Netherland's 'best' city
back in 2005 or something. It's also really popular amongst Belgian and French potheads, as it's close to the border and holds the second largest amount of ''coffeeshops'' in the Netherlands.
Right on, I've never been there. But when I go back to the Netherlands this March I think I'll check it out then. As you can go anywhere in the whole ****in country in like an hour. I usually go more north or north east. I can't stand to stay in Amsterdam for that long before I want to start smacking tourists for getting in my way.

laid off has to do with work, they got rid of the afternoon shift, so a few of us got let go, and everybody else got cut back to 3 days a week.before this job, i was living in quebec,

You go to the Netherlands a lot? If you do decide to come the Maastricht in the future, I'd recommend Smokey's. It's a shop on a boat on the Meuse which runs through the city. Come to think of it, it is a beatiful city, definitely worth checking out just for it's architecture and food.
Yes sir. I go there at least once a year. Have since I was 18, I'm now 24 almost 25. I just travel a lot in general.
Yeah man I love the architecture there more than anything to be honest. The art is also pretty awesome. The weed is alright. It's not a big deal to me as I used to grow weed with a botanist. I haven't tried much of the traditional food though. I really should. My ex was actually dutch haha.

Also it's in Limburg, and around here most people have a ''I'm a Limburger before I'm a Dutchman'' kind of mentality. Most of us, including myself speak in a dialect more than actual Dutch. So the traditional foods and such are different than they are in Amsterdam or whatever. Better though, the Dutch kitchen involves too much mashed potatoes and cabbages for my taste.

The architecture is atypical actually. It's unlike any other Dutch city I've visited in the past. Well, maybe a bit like Den Bosch. Ahhh ja I got you. I definitely gotta see it then as checking out interesting places like that is always better than seeing your typical cookie cutter Amsterdam. I like Prague a hell of a lot better than Amsterdam actually. Yeah, I've been to Den Bosch it was pretty awesome. A place I'm' not particularly fond of is Den Haag. I don't know why it's just meh.
Haha that's actually a good mentality to have, as people usually put a stereotype on somethings and aren't really in the know of how things are. In Amsterdam I don't think I've even seen more than one or two traditional places. There's fast food joints everywhere, which is just nasty anyways.
