sooo how is this for a story?
trying to appeal to a certain demographic..
my would be myth based.. asgardian, olmpians, dragons, vampires, werewolves.. etc etc.
Thor comes to earth and reigns over the vikings as they expand their power base... Thor is actually a human/Fairy hybrid which is how he gained his powers... his hair will be red of course but would glimmer in the sun light.. his costume will be a mix of leather, leafs and magic shiney mail
The vikings worship him but he retreats after finding out what his followers really do when expanding committing murder, rape etc etc.. so he leaves withdraws back into the fores inside a cave entrance to the ethereal realm.. the lack of believe in him and fellow mythical figures start to die out subsequently causing them to fade into the land of imagination.
the few remaining are the most physical beings like vamp, werewolves and Thor himself.. he comes out and retains a lil of his magic b/c humanity still knows who he is ambiently slightly skewed..
he comes out of his cave modern time after hearing a girl yelling for help after falling in a nearby river... he isnt shiny due to the lack of believe but he is still awe inspiring
he saves the girl takes her back to her home near by and drops her off with her parents.. he tells the family he is just walking bye the forest.. they give their thanks and feed him as they talk about why he was dressed that way is he in a school play?
of course Thor will appear to look between 17 -21 yrs of age..
as he leaves the image of him burns into the girls mind as she becomes obsessed with him.. her name will be anaka..
now thor will still have his Hammer but it will not appear as an ancient war hammer b/c when he went into the cave he shrunk it down and wrapped it around his wrist by the strap which will actually be a thin line..
the hammer will not grow in size in the modern world due to mankind not believing in magic as much as it once used to.. so Thor will wrap it around his wrist and place the hammer which will be the size on a ring around his middle finger....
he will go by a modern name of Thorin and through the story will adapt a different look to himself ala Emo as he hunts down for his fellow myth creatures.. he will run into a were bear nordic modern man who abducts and kills ppl near the small town from where he awoke.. he will enroll in school using glamor b/c he will find a anaka possessing the soul of his past love reincarnated in her Lady Sif.
