i didnt cheat. we werent allowed to use calculators back in the day like now and kids with their laptops.
sometimes i didnt understand the teacher's lesson and explanation and simply found a certain number seem to fit not knowing how a pattern as it were. i would apply a simple formula that i would make up and test them with other questions and compare them to the back of the book answers since the answers were just the odd number ones. the answer would be correct and i would just use that then the gibberish the teacher would spout and i didnt understand.
the teacher would get mad and not even bother to read how i came up with the answer b/c he didnt understand it or didnt care b/c it's not how he was taught to do it.

im sure those kids also show their work on their homework and tests
its to show the teacher/professor that you didnt just use a calculator or copy someone elses work, and it makes perfect sense why they ask for your work to be shown
sure its a pain in the ass and takes up a lot of paper, but **** it, if i wanna ****ing pass, i follow what the professor says to the letter
others simply learn and parrot back what they hear, learned or been taught with no real understanding.
one man who is considered being neither autistic nor savant but a regular person failed math 4 times before finally leaving high school and at the age of 21 his ability simply turned on studying on his own.
he was incapable of using the mathematical names used by mathematicians for formulas but could write them down to show what he was doing.

okay, so my mom just got out of surgery
they stuck a rod into her humerus, which is what she broke, along with four screws
they also completely numbed up the left side of her body when they went in for the surgery and she wont feel any pain in the arm for 24 hours so that she wont be asking for pain meds every like 10 minutes[she takes a lot of meds for her depression and migraines and seizures so she has a high tolerance for medication in general]
they didnt stick her arm in a cast, theyre just gonna keep it in a sling and she cant drive for at least 6 weeks
