That's only 13% of your pre-tax income, that's quite cheap. Are you moving in with your girlfriend (I think you said you had one).
I have a 2 bedroom apartment, with a winter garden. So 3.5 rooms, kitchen and bath, and it's nice to have the spare room, but we hardly use it at all. It does give an increased quality of live though I think. Also important, at least to me, is that the apartment is light and quiet.
