I like Lindsey Stirling.
Do you play? I'm a violin major, but I'm 33.

35 years ago I played the baritone horn, drums, mandolin, and bass. Now I just play CDs of more talented people than I.

Wow! I was a piano major and sang in church choir age 8-20. In high school, I accompanied 3 Catholic masses and played keyboard in 3 pit orchestras. I also played bells in the band. Lindsey Stirling is 4 months younger than me. I'm from Florida and New Orleans, and she is from the L.A. area. She seems like a nice girl, would be nice to see her play with other rock musicians. I saw another young girl violinist playing on the streets in California, maybe around age 11. I looked much more mature at that age, though. I know, in band, people get to playing like 5 instruments, extremely impressive! I wanted to play violin, but I didn't seriously until I was 29. The band teacher kept trying to recruit me.

Nice I use to play violin. I have a couple of violins in the family.

How much did you pay for your violin?

The store I rented my horn from was owned by an old German couple that got out of Berlin in '45 just before the Soviet army rolled in, the guy managed to save 3 violins and a cello, at the time I was just a dumb kid and was salty I couldn't get an electric guitar.

Impressive! My mom said her younger sister's son finished majoring in violin and can play the hardest material. His mother is a piano teacher. I don't know if he also knows I switched from piano to singing and then to violin at age 29. My mom died from breast cancer, bone cancer, and eye cancer in December 2018. 🙁 My dad has a neuromuscular disorder from drinking poison in the Marines during Vietnam and diabetes. It might be because he would have a hard time exercising after he had surgery on one knee and much later the other.

Rented off to about $900. That's almost $1000.

Interesting! I have an electric guitar and flute, too, but I need a better place to put everything before I practice. I want to move to Germany. I follow an orchestra online every day, the Freiburger Barockorchester. My favorite area may be Bavaria where I seem to have maybe 5% ancestry, but I don't necessarily want to go to Vienna. I've got to learn German, too! I already started a little.

Pretty shite how the US poisoned most of Nam and ended up doing the same to their own soldiers, my Uncle (not the one who died, this one is still around) got a nasty dose of Agent Orange, fvcked him for life, always dealing with one complication or another.

I'm sorry about his complication.

My dad only goes around in a scooter now and I have to get out and support myself because he said he may gradually die in a year or half a year be bad. We don't have much money. It was already embarrassing enough my mom died, kinda feeling used to this now. I am more sad for them than myself. I feel I will be alone in the world and have literally nowhere to turn to. I'm not close to my relatives and some have a grudge on me, though I was interested in them. 🙁

I myself take 5-10 diabetes pills a day.. I know it goes down if I exercise a lot. I am more fit than a lot of people, not too fat. I just got a jaw/mouth exerciser and I already felt a tremor of muscle, like new muscle / I never felt that way. Good think I found Amazon Prime exercise videos, too. I also got some $150 rollerblades and I'm already going, haven't done it in like 15 years.

So, I'm looking for a job in Fort Lauderdale, FL, though I want to be a German violinist in an orchestra and play musical chairs. I'm just not advanced enough yet. I don't know how long or if I can..

Never been to Germany, I wanted to in High School but decided to go to Japan instead... wrong Axis.

Sorry to hear about your mother and your father. Death isn't easy for anyone especially for their children.

That's pretty cool, violins and violas have been in the family for a long time. My family even visited Cremona Italy on a tour once, my father is a huge Antonio Stradivarius fan. One could say that's all he talks about. He plays mandolin, guitar, cello and most of the wooden instruments. He's a bit obsessive.

I grew out of that stage in my life were I played violins, I was never any good. I switched to the saxophone and learned piano for a bit. I was more into theater and the other arts.

Sorry about your diabetes, eating sugar is tough and salts most of the damage is in the liver. There is actually a sugar chart on how much one person should take a day. It is helpful but also not realistic because most people have cravings.

Germany Violin schools are serious work. Goodluck, wish you all the best!

Bloody hell, at this rate I'm going to have to give 1 good thought to everyone on this useless board, fuarks sake!!

I like to move it move it.

Move it on down the line.
