Almost wonder if the directors were acting out about never really becoming the cool kids who otherwise treated them ok.
It's about a cheerleader played by Christina Ricci, who falls in love with a retarded boy. It is hilarious with soft uncomfortable monotones for the 70's.
It brushes on race, sexuality, society norms, racial integration, secular humanism, minorities and autism. This is such a weird film---it is so stupid it almost becomes so good that you can't help but watch how stupid it is.
I'll watch Pumpkin Head later.
