Not really, who told you this? I feel like you can find songs that are lame and people love them

Mumble rappers put out shit songs that people listen to, that doesn't need to happen.

When you tolerate mediocrity you're going to have a bad time.

The quality or lack thereof of a song or an entire music genre doesn't preclude the fact that people are more than allowed to enjoy it, but some will not just like every other thing in existence.

I feel that with rap it can be either very lyrical or very dumb! When its just roderic, then people will follow anything just to belong to something

I'd say I have about 10-12 rap songs in my active playlists, and I'm starting to explore UK Grime so I'm not a total rapophobe.

I prefer older rap from the 80s and early 90s, has more of a beat to it.
