In my long experience online I have found some fellas to be like quicksand,
you don't even wanna go near them or they will pull you under and if you fight
hard you just die sooner, best to leave a sleeping dog to lay and tiptoe round it,
focus on winnable fights... because online there's no middle ground there's just
attrition. Ain't no way in hell you're gonna change their mind or offer any tiny
piece of information they'll assimilate and vice versa.

Haven't done Fortnite since I was hopping around looking for a gun, and this other guy was just following along and not shooting me. Figured he was taking pity and letting me scavenge, or just laughing. So I DC'd and went back to Burnout. 🤒
In retrospect what probably happened was I forgot I was in team mode and he was a partner.
Starting to get the hang of the shooters I bought, I won't ever challenge the leaderboards on score but if I can manage to graduate from the easy modes to normal, and maybe even make a dent in hard mode, I'll be happy.
The thing throwing me off are occasional frame rate tanks, makes me want to keep the Steam fps counter on, but then with that thing on you end up being distracted checking it all the time. It's one reason I prefer gaming on a console, none of that you just take what they give you and enjoy the game.
These games have "homing" weapons, and Natsuki has these little red lasers that point at where you're gonna be attacked next.
Not that any of that helps me, I STILL get hit.
Lot of guns, but too many options also means you never get into a groove, I'm thinking basic vulcan spread spam beats auto targeting weapons. Auto makes you lazy. Narrow laser beams suck because no cover.
They also have these "wave" pulse beams, not sure how they're any different then vulcans, same basic spread, same rapid fire.
You ever play Stargunner?
Because just realized Natsuki Chronicles is Stargunner 2. Same weapon shop concept, same basic weapon and defense types (Even features satelite orbiter shields), same checkpoint system between stages.
There's differences, but the "Do I want auto seeking guns or big balls in helix shape or thin lasers" is there, same grinding for money and upgrades..
No faster engines though, that is only in the vertical prequel Ginga Force, this game gives you two-three speed settings all freely modifiable from the start, which is a HUGE deal in a genre where "speed up" is traditionally a power up.
