Always found it ironic that movies like Network and Scrooged and such were criticizing the very thing that owns them. It's like the Network execs had their heads in the sand, or simply didn't care, and that all changes overnight for some reason.

Nobody makes shows like that anymore, now the conspiracy theorists and maga truthers and toxic males are the villain, not Corporations.

I will refer you to Resident Evil and the villainous Umbrella Corporation.

It's all about making money and having good ratings. Networks pivot to influencers to see what's hot. Most shows dont get a second season anymore.

Yeah but that's because of the game connection, and they aren't criticizing Corporations as a concept.. Umbrella is essentially a terrorist organization.

So that old first gen Xbox One a co-worker gave away, I'm not sure if it's worth buying too many games for it. I mean if it was bought in 2013, who knows how much use it has left in it.

So far I paid about 12 dollars for Nier Automata, it cost 39.95 plus tax and I had a 30 dollar Gamestop gift card. Considering May be Doom Eternal with the DLC, that's 23 bucks on the Xbox store, Steam sells it for like 70 normally.

The thing is the more I buy the less inclined I'd be to buy a PS5 or Switch later.

Idk which gaming console would be best for me.

A free one is probably best. Do what I did and whine about not having a console until someone just gives you one, worked for me. 😆

There are developers who make independent consoles 😂

Oh yeah, they have those in the mall around the holidays, promising 2500 games and most are duplicates and absolute shite, Contra is almost always the only game worth playing.

I like the metroid games...

Sunset Overdrive is 6 bucks. 9 with the dlc.

Everyone says its great, but I'm not really a Tony Hawk sports guy so I dunno.

Meh,Tony Hawk was early noughties.

Tony Hawk is 2 years older than me, when the funk did that happen?!

Yes time and all that, my perception of it was different though, that's all I'm saying.

I was born in '92 so I'm younger. Sorry.

My burnout college roommate would regularly commander my PSX to play it.

Up until we had a falling out over my refusing to wear pants in front of his mom.

Wtf?

No it's true, I won't wear pants in front of his mom too.

I drove drunk and speeded. Damn. I should have gotten pulled over but I stopped before the police came.
