At the very least my house is super clean right now, so I got that going for me which is nice.

Crisis averted, my sister is going to be in the city and I bribed her to take Mom for a spa day.

I are genius.

Your sig is hot.

And... it's an actual genetic Woman!!

Animal, vegetable or mineral

I guess technically... animal.

Just got the news, my great aunt passed away this morning, they diagnosed her with cancer a month ago, that's some potent stuff.

Sorry to hear. Only lucky people find cancer early

The way I see it she doesn't have to linger in a painful misery slowly losing her mind from the pain meds.

That's the last relative of that generation, there are no more in the family.

The boomers are next.

And your parents?

I still have a few uncles left and one aunt on my fathers side, but they are all dying like dominoes

Are you going to the funeral?

Morning

Mom's got emphysema and other stuff so she has maybe a few years at best.
Dad has already had 2 heart attacks and the last one was a triple bypass with a stroke so who knows, he forgets stuff like crazy now but it's random.

I don't do funerals, when I was little they took me to a funeral and I had a bad reaction like turbo anxiety.

The whole concept of funerals is barbaric to me, I mean the guy what is laying there dead doesn't give 2 shits about any of this so what's the point?

"Oh it's not for the dead it's for the survivors so they can have closure."

Motherfvcker, sitting around talking about a dead person is morbid and weird, you wanna celebrate them, you have a proper Irish wake and get hammered remembering their life, you don't need to be fooling around looking at the dead shell in a box, golddarn people are so goofy with these traditions!

Life sucks cus as soon as we get wiser we die. As for funerals I am the same way

I remember watching Ghost Dad with bill Cosby and being traumatized by that movie when it came to funerals. It didn't help much that I had a father who would let his son watch horror movies as a kid

Just because people do a certain thing for a very long time doesn't mean that's always and forever how you do it, find new ways, maybe better ways to do something, get creative like the Vikings, they set a guy on a ship sailed it out into the harbour on fire and that's that... awesome!

At least yours didn't watch Playboy channel with you, that's an entirely creepy level of uncomfortable.
