Yeah it's like they took inspiration from Marvel Zombies or Ultimate Marvel, where characters drop like flies all the time.

Meanwhile DC's own zombie epic "DCeased" treated most of their characters very well, and the ones who died had actual meaning. Was an awesome series I recommend it.

Spoiler; Specter fights a zombiefied Mxy in a truly epic showdown, with the GL Corp trying to help. Superman himself even punches a planet sized Mxy in the face and has an actual effect.

Loki is a slippery little fvcker but Thanos snapped his neck and then blew the ship they were on into oblivion.

Technically he is kind of alive as a Time Variant, but I don't count that just like I don't count 2014 Gamora replacing the one that Thanos tossed off the Soul Stone cliff.

Loki is primarily a Jotunheim Frost Giant (albeit a smaller version) as such he has expanded life span, super strength, insane resistance to cold, and has taught himself magic spells. Loki considers himself the God of Mischief but he's just an alien being with powers like a Kryptonian (although not nearly as powerful) and can be killed if a sufficient enough force is used.

The real mind fvck was that while in custody at the TVA the 2012 Loki got shown a film of the end of his life including when Frigga got killed and when Odin passed into light and Asgard getting destroyed and then Thanos snapping his neck. Pretty brutal for a guy just getting over being stomped by the Avengers.
