Just read an article about a Bangladesh "sex town" hidden inside a town.
It had a bunch of stories of forced prostitution and what lead them there. Some family actually sell them, others get picked up as runaways and a stranger sells them like loose change. Of course they have "debts" to pay off, but many that actually manage to pay it off keep deciding to work there for the easy money.
One funny story was a regular customer who the prostitute considered a boyfriend. He wanted her to marry him, but she refused because that means he gets to keep her money.
He was also jealous of the fact she slept with all his friends (Which I'm pretty sure isn't up to her), while she gets jealous he sleeps with other prostitutes (Which totally IS up to him).
And I mean even if they did marry would she even be let off the hook? Or was the plan always to keep her working but keeping her take?
It's funny how one moment can change a person. One moment can force a person to grow up and be more mature.
Yesterday as I was contemplating on what I had discussed. I had this preconceived notion that I was in the right when I realized I was far from the truth.
In life there are no fair advantages only winners and losers. It hit me this morning I had already lost big before I could even start.
Yeah I learned social justice is bs too. Ain't no such thing as equity. There's just the hands you're dealt and what you can or can't do with them. Sometimes you simply get a losing hand.
Every time I hear an activist whine about gender/race, I think how they're going to f'n Harvard or Yale and probably never knew want in their entire lives.
Real time thoughts on the movie;
20 minutes in, touching scenes with super athlete Labron James and his nerd son he can't relate to but encourages anyway after his wife nags him to.
And now we're on a bizarre scene where a rogue AI plots using Labron James to further his ambitions at taking over the world, including "Labron of Thrones", "Labron vs Batman (Labron wins)"
This movie screams vanity project.

I agree. Life is meant for the strongest and those that are left behind will perish. I sure wish I took up piano as a kid, I'd be playing it now.

Nothing beats the Micheal Jordan version.
