People still die, but the deaths are never really for shock value. Spoiler; Kilowog and John Stewart get squashed against Mxy, while about two dozen GL's have construct ropes around the fingers. They get last words, in a last stand for the multiverse. Their sacrifice makes this fantastic showdown more epic.
