If someone is going against the current narrative or is going to tell someone something that someone doesn't wish to have known then in the political world it is a relatively simple matter to have that someone unalived.

The higher in office you are the greater the chance you can be harmed by inconvenient knowledge or someone turning against you and so the greater your chances are to have that cleaned up.
