No it was black and hispanic kids that couldn't keep up with the whites and asians test scores so they lowered them until they could pass, at least that's what they did in the US.
I'm talking about school standards before high school, there isn't a big queer contingent at that age, and yes it was all about test scores which is a consensus on the quality of education received, so when they relaxed those standards the dumber the kids got across the board. Except Asians of course they can't be stopped no matter what they tried to hamper them with.

I've lived among many different racial communities and just like whites there are some really nice people and some not so nice people. I never had a big problem with any of them. In fact when my Grandfather (who grew up in a different era) ragged on black people being on TV in the 80s I tried to educate him on the right way to see things but old dogs ya know.

Personally, I'd be happy with blue and yellow pieces or pink and green. I mean, why not? But I'm sure you'll pick a fault like, "why do the lighter pieces still get to go first?"

Would be very confusing to have the same colour pieces, you'd really have to be a grandmaster to keep track of that.
It's not racist, although it was invented in Persia, so that might have something to do with it, it's just a distinction of playing defense or attack. This might be why American football is compared to chess because the long bomb is about gaining territory rather than physical strength.
