The Braddock Family Bios:
Braddock, Jamie
Full Name: James Braddock, Jr.
Affiliation: None
Status: Comatose on Muir Island
Relatives: Sir James, Sr. (father, deceased), Brian (Captain Britain, brother), Elisabeth (Psylocke, sister)
Powers: Jamie percieves reality in terms of strings that he can manipulate, pulling, tying, knotting and tearing to bend physical reality to his will. While his sibling manifester their powers earlier in life, Jamie did not appear to be a mutant until his late twenties / early thirties. He was a champion racecar driver, but made some bad bets on himself and was forced to raid medical supplies in Africa. One of his jobs turned violent, and another was botched, with Jamie ending up in the clutches of Joshua N'Dingi, AKA Doc Croc. N'Dingi tortured Jamie, and under the stress of the pain his mutant powers flared, allowing Jamie to free himself, but leaving his more than a little insane. He eventually made his way back to England, and hooked up with the Technet, as well as Nigel Frobisher. Frobisher was a puppet of the evil Sat-Yr-9, an old foe of Captain Britian. In the final showdown between Sat-Yr-9 and Excalibur, Jamie killed Alysdane Stuart, head of the Weird Happenings Organization, before he was stopped. Jamie fell into a coma, and has remained on Muir Island since then.
Captain Britain
Real Name: Brian Braddock
Affiliation: Excalibur, Hellfire Club, London
Status: Married (Meggan), currently powerless
Aliases: Black Bishop, Britanic
Relatives: Sir James, Sr. (father, deceased), Elisabeth (twin sister, Psylocke), James, Jr. (brother)
Powers: Super speed, strength, and stamina, flight and in his last appearances, a suit with a manipulatable energy field. Brian is both a mutant and the son of another hero: his father was originally from Merlin's Otherworld. It's unclear which of Brian's powers are his own and which are his father's legacy. Brian was a college student in England when he got into a motorcycle crash, apparently due to some mob goons who were pursuing him. Bleeding to death, Brian was approached by Merlin and his daughter Roma, who told him that he could live if he became Britain's next great champion. They offered Brian a choice: The Amulet of Right (or Life) or the Sword of Might (or Death). Being a scholar and not conceiving of himself as a warrior, Brian chose the Amulet. He then became Captain Britan, complete with costume and super-powers, as well as a golden mace. Soon afterwards, Brian came to America on a study abroad program. By a strange twist of fate, he ended up rooming with Peter Parker at Empire State University. Parker also had a secret identity, namely Spider-Man, and the two began meeting for nightly patrols and training, each not knowing that the other was his roommate. This was about the time that Brian began to drink heavily, and it affected his performance both as a student and as a hero. He did get it under control enough to graduate with a doctorate in physics, but the demons of alcoholism would continue to haunt him for years. Some time after Brian returned to England, he gave up the Captain Britain identity, allowing his sister Betsy to take up the mantle. Unfortunately, Betsy was unprepared to be Captain Britain, and lost her eyes in a battle with Slaymaster. Brian heard his twin's pain through her telepathy and a special bond they share, and rushed back to fight Slaymaster, whom he then killed. Brian then resumed the mantle of Captain Britain, and fought evil as Britain's premier superhero. Then, when the X-Men appeared to die in Dallas (see Fall of the Mutants), Brian was disconsolate over his sister's death. He drank heavily, and scared away his lover Meggan, who went to find Nightcrawler, an acquaintance of hers on Muir Island. Meggan arrived at the same time as the Technet, an interdimensional band of mercenaries who were looking for Phoenix II. When Meggan and Shadowcat were captured by the Technet, Nightcrawler went to enlist Captain Britain's aid. However, Kurt found Brian deep in a drunken stupor, completely depressed and uninterested in doing anything anymore. So Nightcrawler pitched Brian over the edge of his lighthouse's balcony and into the ocean. When Brian recovered and flew back, Nightcrawler convinced him to help him find the women. At the succesful conclusion of that mission, Cap joined with the other mutants to form Excalibur, England's premier superteam. Although Captain Britain by rights began to lead the team, it was clear early on that he was not cutting it, and his teammates began to pick up the slack. Then, when Phoenix II flew off to America during Inferno, Captain Britain discovered that his powers were linked to England, and would diminish if he left he country for too long. This weakness was partially alleviated when Excalibur went dimension-hopping during the Cross-Time Caper when Cap received the magical costume of Captain Marshall (the CB of that world) which acted as a battery for his arcane power. Months later, Brian suddenly began to grow larger as his body absorbed more and more energy. When the team journeyed to Otherworld they found out that Necrom was planning to use the coming Cosmic Convergence to become omnipotent. Using Shadowcat's powers the team merged into Brian's enormous body and fixed the damage Necrom was doing across the multiverse. Then, on Roma's secret cue, Meggan drained Brian of all his excess energy, returning him to normal size, and fired it at the tower which was the linchpin through all the dimensions of the multiverse. Brian quit costumed advernturing for a time and concentrated on his science, building the Midnight Runner for the team's use. Then he and Meggan took some time off from the team and got engaged, but they and the rest of Excalibur were soon captured by the R.C.X. and Brian was severely beaten when he resisted. Dying, broken and bloody, he was healed by Roma, who fixed the arcane circuitry in his costume to match his body's frequencies, and who also removed a "blunder factor" she had cast over him, ensuring that he would need the help of a team until he saw the innate value in it. Immediately afterwards, Phoenix reappeared and Excalibur journeyed to the future to save it from the Sentinels. Unfortunately, on the way back Brian was lost in the timestream. No one had a clue how to find him until his body parts started appearing in the same space as Rachel's, first his arms, then his chest, for brief flickers. Meggan confronted Rachel about Brian's whereabouts and with Daytripper's help they opened a rift in which Brian and Rachel switched places. Rachel was flung to the far future to become the Mother Askani, and Brian returned home. However, he was flooded with memories of the far future and seemed disconnected for the real world. He called himself Britanic for some time, but eventually re-acclimated himself to his old life, although he did quit drinking. After receiving a message of impending danger from Jean Grey, who had found Alistair Stuart running from Black Air, and one from Shinobi Shaw regarding Mountjoy's infiltration into the London Hellfire Club, Brian went to the Club and claimed his father's position as Black Rook, defeating the contender for Red Rook with one punch. When Black Air and the Club made their move, Brian was attacked by the Black Queen and Scribe, who was possessed by Mountjoy. Luckily, Brian was in his newly-refurbished costume, complete with projectable forcefield, and he defeated them both. He appeared to have come to terms with both his scientific and superhero sides. Soon afterwards, however, in a battle with the Dragons of the Crimson Dawn, Brian expended all of his power to stop a dimensional portal from opening. He has not regained his powers, and it does not appear that he will at any point in the near future. He left the team for a while, but returned to fulfill his dream of marrying Meggan. At the ceremony on Otherworld, the rest of the team decided to return to the States, so Excalibur disbanded, leaving Captain Britain and Meggan as Britain's foremost heroes.
Brian soon went to work at the Darkmoor research facility, and it was during one of his tests (on the new blade and armor of his friend the Black Knight) that Widget reappeared with warriors who attacked him and Meggan, stating that Roma ordered it done. The heroes (including Psylocke, who was also visting in England) drove the attackers off, then followed them to Otherworld, where they discovered that that Captain Britain Corps had been decimated. Together with the survivors, Crusader X and Captain U.K., Brian and his comrades had to stop Roma from acquiring the Sword of Might, which together with the Amulet of Right (which had returned to Otherworld when Brian lost his powers) could remake the cosmos. Brian went in search of the sword, and ended up finding a computer-filled shrine in a cavern built by his father. A hologram of James Braddock, Sr. explained to Brian that he was the savior and rightful heir of Otherworld, and had the innate right to wield Excalibur. The hologram re-activated Brian's powers, and Brian drew the sword, which generated a fiery St. Andrew's Cross (from the British flag) as a mask on his face. Brian then confronted Roma, who was revealed to be his father's sentient and insane computer Mastermind, and defeated him together with the real Roma. Roma then relinquished control of Otherworld to Captain Britain, and he and Meggan remained in Otherworld as effectives rulers of the multiverse.
Unbeknownst to Brian, the events leading up to his assumption of the Otherworld were orchestrated by Kang the Conqueror, for reasons yet to be revealed.
Psylocke
Real Name: Elisabeth Braddock
Affiliation: (X-Treme) X-Men
Previous Affiliations: X-Men, S.T.R.I.K.E.
Aliases: Lady Mandarin, Captain Britain II (Earth 616)
Status: Deceased (Vargas)
Relatives: Sir James, Sr. (father, deceased), Brian (Captain Britain, brother), James, Jr. (brother)
Powers: Psylocke was born a powerful telepath. Originally she was a model, and simply a psycho-blaster with the ability to read minds, a power she used as an agent for the British intelligence team called S.T.R.I.K.E. When her brother Brian gave up the mantle of Captain Britain for a time, Betsy took over, but her career ended when she was blinded by Slaymaster, an enemy of her brother's. Eventually Betsy was given bionic eyes by Mojo, who used them to spy on the X-Men. Betsy joined the X-Men around the time of the Mutant Massacre, and valiantly defended the wounded against Sabretooth. After the X-men died in Dallas, Wolverine got her Betsy an armored costume to protect her physically during battles. However, after going through the Siege Perilous Psylocke was used by the Hand and Lord Nyoirin, an Asian crimelord, to reassemble the mind of his assassin, Kwannon, who had been injured in a fall. However, Matsu'o Tsurayaba, Kwannon's lover, cut a deal with the time-dancer Spiral and Betsy's mind entered Kwannon's body. Her mind was slightly merged with Kwannon's and, with the help of Spiral's Body Shoppe, their bodies were made genetically identical. "Psylocke" was given Kwannon's Asian body and martial arts training, and worked for the Mandarin until a plunge into Wolverine's psychosis knocked her out of the brainwashing. At that point, she manifested her power in the form of a psychic knife that she would plunge into an opponent's head to knock them out. In reality, there was only a part (albeit the majority) of Betsy in Kwannon's body, believing herself to be Psylocke. When the remainder of Betsy (including her body) returned as Revanche (who was really Kwannon) and subsequently died from the Legacy Virus, Revanche returned the rest of Betsy's mind and power to Psylocke and took the missing parts of Kwannon into herself. Later on, as Sabretooth began his escape from the X-Mansion, Psylocke attempted to stop him, but was critically wounded. To save her life, her lover Angel, along with Wolverine, Gomurr the Ancient, and Dr. Strange, journeyed into the dimension of the Crimson Dawn to retrieve some of the magical liquid to save Betsy's life. As a result of her exposure to the Crimson Dawn, Psylocke gained the ability to "teleport" through shadows. This new chance at life came with a price, however. The evil Kuragari usurped control of the Crimson Dawn and tried to make Psylocke into his bride. Fortunately, Gomurr and Angel were able to return the balance to the Dawn and break Kuragari's hold on Betsy. Months later, the Shadow King tricked Psylocke into initiating a telepathic shockwave that disabled telepaths all over the world, leaving the King in command of the astral plane. Although her astral form was destroyed, Betsy emerged in a new "shadow form" that was certainly a by-product of her exposure to the Crimson Dawn. Invisible to the Shadow King, Betsy was able to free the X-Men he had captured and then taunted the Shadow King until he over-extended himself by trying to corrupt every mind on the planet. Betsy was then able to telepathically contain the Shadow King's core, but at a great cost: to ensure that the Shadow King would never be able to escape, Psylocke was forced to permanently shut down her telepathy. Recently, Psylocke gained telekinetic power from Phoenix, and no longer has her telepathy. She is powerful enough to move giant beams and fly, but she still has control and stamina problems. She also seems to have lost the ability to teleport between shadows. At the same time, Betsy began flirting with fellow teammate Thunderbird III, much to Warren's chagrin, leading to his breaking up with her when he realized they really had very little in common. Shortly thereafter, Psylocke joined other members of the X-Men on a secret mission to find the lost Books of Truth, prophecies written by the precog Destiny, and she and Thunderbird became an "official" couple. On their first mission, however, Psylocke fought the Homo Sapiens Superior named Vargas and was stabbed in the stomach. Though she died almost immediately, her spirit did stay on the mortal plane long enough to provide Bishop with some information as to the mission during a "Dreamtime" before passing into the afterlife.

so here is
Psylocke's History
Elisabeth Braddock was born in the early hours of April 23, 1956 along with her twin brother Brian. Betsy and Brian were very close as children and in their early adult life. While he wanted to study, she wanted to be part of a grand adventure, and in all the adventures she conjured up, she was always protecting him. Another dream she had was of flying. She got her pilot's license before she ever learned to drive and spent every moment possible in the air. She was a student at the Royal Academy, and one of her desires was to sing in front of an audience. It is also known that her father used to take her and her brother to the Hellfire Club in England when she was a child, and she always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, much of Elisabeth's history before the Japers Warp remains a mystery *. However, after the galactic incident, her wish for excitement and adventure became true, sometimes even more than she could have possibly imagined.
On June 16, 1984, Betsy returned to Braddock Manor with her friend Alison Double, also a telepath, from being helped in her powers and Alison's health by a Ms. Victoria Bentley, and met Brian's new houseguest and future Fiancée, Meggan. Things were quiet until Captain Britain (Brian) was attacked by bounty hunters from another dimension trying to capture him. The fight was over quickly when Elisabeth used her telepathy to subdue the attackers. She was left drained, but Brian was shocked at how much her powers had grown since Tom's death a year before.
"Victoria made me strong again, but I can't forget all of the madness of Jasper's madness… the reality warp… the camp… losing Tom. It still hurts. We were psychically linked when he died. I felt his death, wrenching… empty." - Betsy to Brian before the attack.
"I've grown, Brian. Victoria showed me how to use Tom's death…" - Betsy after the attack.
Psylocke History Part II
One of the early turning points in Ms. Braddock's life was when Captain Britain was captured by Gatecrasher's Technet and was delivered to Sat-yr-nin, ruler of another dimension. The Kaptain Briton of that dimension had traded places with Brian. Briton pretended to be gentle to Betsy, but when they were in her bedroom he attempted to rape her. In the struggle, she read his mind and saw him as the vile creature he was, so she lashed out with her powers and wiped his brain, killing him in the process. She was in shock for awhile.
At this time the sentient computer named Mastermind, who resided in the manor, revealed himself and told Brian and her that they where only half human. Their father was one of Merlin's chosen guard from Otherworld. He also stated that he would be maintaining the manor and its environment. From this point on, Betsy and Brian became distant from each other. Gabriel, an old friend of Elisabeth's past showed up, and with him the Resources Control Executive. The R.C.X. moved into the place bringing with them the warpie children, which brought out a major disagreement between her and her twin.

could it be Psylocke??
wow, i'm pretty impressed by the stuff people dug up about psylocke.
errm, lets see here. uhmm starting from the beginning of all the posts.
*bare with me, i might botch a detail or two it's been a few years since I've had access to my comics*
Psylocke's powers have gone (in order of appearance)
Telepathy - a power very familiar to betsy, she never really had Telepathy until after kwannon died, but it was always there just in a form that let her "predict" her opponents actions which made her excell as a ninja.
Psy knife- (telepathic representation of power eminating from the back of her hand which when striking an opponent in the head area can go from almost killing them to just making them get a head rush and fall down.)
Psy blade-(first appeared in #21 - x-men used by kwannon, the "other half" of psylocke, one had the mind the other had the body) appeared to confront this person who was stealing her identity. It's basically a molecule thin blade formed from her TK/TP powers which allows her to cut through almost any object with weakened but similar effects to the psy knife.
Shadow- rather vague power given from her return to life from the power of the crimson dawn. that saved her from the pretty much life threatening state sabertooth put her in. But she used it to get back at
sabertooth by giving him a royal butt kicking at the facility on muir island he was being kept in. with a few onlookers wonder wth she was doing =p
Telekinesis - Didnt show up until after the shadow king incident where in order to keep the shadow king from killing storm and other members of the tribe she took him head on in his realm(shadow realm). and basically did a sneak move and caught him off guard. Then using all her telepathy she locked him away inside her own head. meaning she couldnt use her telepathy because it was all constantly keeping him under wraps. she manifested some TK powers which jean helped her strengthen.
hmm ok i think that answers the question about her powers.
also most about the shadow king.
uhmm the question about xaviers son, that would be david. you all remember him. The wonderful kid who decided to go back in time and kill magneto instead killing xavier, ending his own existance and plunging the great world into the Age of Apocalypse.
The Piroteus guy i heard mentioned was seans and moira's son who became unstable and decided to romp around muir island taking over peoples bodies and messing with their heads. he could change pretty much all matter so we got to see a version of x-men on acid.
hooo what else am i missing. i think everyone else answered the rest.
Oh well, time for me to go.
~Devoted X-men fan.
PS. Psylocke is my fav X-woman since the dawn of time. I'm dissappointed about her death, but i am rather happy that she died her way fighting instead of some other gay cop-out way.
