Ok, I have been analyzing the situation.
I have decided there is a practical limit of 12 players.
At least half must have already met Arvedui and been hooked into the plot (Argentis, Anglomir, Aiwendil, Talin, William, Vardalain, Palanfirith).
The group can not be more than half Elven.
I think due to non-postage we can lose William and Anglomir.
This leaves:
1. Argentis (met Arvedui, non-Elf)
2. Aiwendil (met Arvedui, Elf)
3. Talin (met Arvedui, non-Elf)
4. Vardalain (met Arvedui, Elf)
5. Palanfirith (met Arvedui, Elf)
6. Andromir (new, non-Elf)
7. Annúnfuin (new, non-Elf)
8. Eliara (new, non-Elf (effectively))
9. Darvan (new, Elf)
10. Revan (new, Elf)
11. Palidan (new, Elf)
12. Corlindel (new, Elf)
13 Airwing (new, Elf)
As you can see, we are in trouble on two fronts still- too many players, too many Elves.
Much as I hate to ask, I could do with losing one of numbers 9-13.
That would leave us five players picked by Arvedui vs. seven newcomers, which I could handle. It would also levae five non-Elves to seven Elves, and one of those non is Half... which I would not be happy about but I could manage.
If we can hammer down a play group out of that, I can simply move the narrative to Baranar and pick up from there. But as it currently stands, things cannot be sustained. Even this compromise is pushing it as far as I can go (I would prefer a player cap of ten and ALL the old hands still playing and only a handful of Elves).
As time goes by, and new players become established into the plotline, this will become less of a problem.
