USH'S LOTR RP Game part 2- The Fortress of Baranar

Ok, let's goooooooo...

Andromir, you roll 65. That comes to 98, for a 13c.

"Minor chest wound. +3 hits. 1 hit per round,. -5 to activity."

Nice strike in the centre there...

Ok, the Dunlendings strike back. One thrown axe a piece at Andromir and Talin, and one melee strike as well. Sadly, Andromir, you cannot cover all of these foes with your shield so this strike will come without that bonus to your defence.

The axethrowers rolls 68 and Talin and 73 on Andromir. That is 98 and 88. A 6 on Talin... and JUST a miss on Andromir! Close one...

Talin's attacker rolls 34, though with him stunned that ends up as 84 and another five damage. Andromir's attacker rolls 64, which becomes 79. That just catches you- seven points of damage.

Now Talin strikes back! Except he rolls 5. Damn, still shrugging off the efects of that blow, Talin!

Ok, no more Dunlending reinforcements; defeat this lot and you are done and we can all move on! Get Phoe and BB in on the act and you will be done in no time.

Andromir glances at his wound, then back at the dunlending again, readying his sword for another blow, this time on a healthy dunlending though, countering blows from his current target with his shield

"Diieee, Enemies of Arthedaaaain..."

airangel--->I guess so...

Aw crud, still waiting for someone to partner Rusky in that fight! Gah!

Anyway, yeah, remember Mages are mainly bringing brains to the proceedings. Mages can always ask me what their opinion on events presented are...

(darn...should've been a mage......elf intelligence is not good enough 🙁)

well you can't have everything

~Ok what do I think we should do, to help our wounded~

~This fight is taking for ever, can't you just make them all drop dead from a heart attack 🙄~

[i] Eliara yawns and decides it is time to get some well deserved sleep.

Well, I am sorry folks, but a game is dependant on its players.

As the situation currently exists, either the people at Baranar are playing or they are not. If they are not, I am afraid that the weighting of veteran to non-veteran and Elf to non-Elf in the group makes play with only the Rivendell crowd impossible, so the game will have to shut down.

That is the situation as it exists. We have too many players full stop, too many new players compared to not new ones, and certainly too many Elves, and I need those Baranar players.

Sorry. I will give things a few more days and then close.

I didn't even think you liked it, AA, not being able to be 'creative' and all.

ouch... Would you consider just starting over... Like with a new plot?

Sorry, not got remotely the time to create one.

oh well...guess that's that.....maybe in the future...

Ok, I have been analyzing the situation.

I have decided there is a practical limit of 12 players.

At least half must have already met Arvedui and been hooked into the plot (Argentis, Anglomir, Aiwendil, Talin, William, Vardalain, Palanfirith).

The group can not be more than half Elven.

I think due to non-postage we can lose William and Anglomir.

This leaves:

1. Argentis (met Arvedui, non-Elf)
2. Aiwendil (met Arvedui, Elf)
3. Talin (met Arvedui, non-Elf)
4. Vardalain (met Arvedui, Elf)
5. Palanfirith (met Arvedui, Elf)

6. Andromir (new, non-Elf)
7. Annúnfuin (new, non-Elf)
8. Eliara (new, non-Elf (effectively))
9. Darvan (new, Elf)
10. Revan (new, Elf)
11. Palidan (new, Elf)
12. Corlindel (new, Elf)
13 Airwing (new, Elf)

As you can see, we are in trouble on two fronts still- too many players, too many Elves.

Much as I hate to ask, I could do with losing one of numbers 9-13.

That would leave us five players picked by Arvedui vs. seven newcomers, which I could handle. It would also levae five non-Elves to seven Elves, and one of those non is Half... which I would not be happy about but I could manage.

If we can hammer down a play group out of that, I can simply move the narrative to Baranar and pick up from there. But as it currently stands, things cannot be sustained. Even this compromise is pushing it as far as I can go (I would prefer a player cap of ten and ALL the old hands still playing and only a handful of Elves).
