"If we attack now, in daylight, the hillmen will simply wake up their masters, the orcs. We know that orcs hate the daylight, and attacking now will give us a greater chance of surviving. the same as with the night. The orcs would wake up the hillmen and we would have the same scale to fight. I say we attack now in daylight."
"We should ride to the gate trying to avoid combat. The sentinels in Barabar will open the gate for us fo sure. It is unnecessary to hve a fight. They will not the catch us, maybe they will try to throw us their axes, but I think we may avoid the orcs archers"
((I assume that the dunlending have no horses"
Corlindel says: "At daylight orcs will be surpeised and they will have no time to react before we reach the gate of the fortress. Even if they havw Wargs. If we manage some kind of distraction, better. If not - I cant remember any - the only way shall be ride as fast as we can."
((How close can we get to the fortress with terrain cover and how far we will be from the gate then? Are there any wargs or horses near the orcs/dunl.? Hey As Ush said, I think that only mages can ask. So. What are you waiting for?))
Small technical problem with the RPs right now, guys, bear with me...
Yes, Orcs use wolves and wargs in this game, but they do not have any here, for which you can be thankful.
I am afraid your Mage is not a tactician, Kai (nor yours, tpt!) (anyone can ask questions like that, btw, not just Mages). But you reckon the simpler the plan, the better. All you guys need is thirty seconds and a clear run. The lines surropund the fortress, but they are not that deep- there are not enough of them.
The fortress is in open ground, there is no terrain cover to speak of (a deliberate choice of location on the part of the builders). The building itself is a rather squat rectangle with a keep and a high tower.
The Mages also concur that a distraction is a good idea.
