It seems everyone is going to the gatehouse so, I will be on the top of the corner tower to the left of the gatehouse where I can aim anyone who attacks the gatehouse with the composite bow that I got at the weaponery and where I can control the front and left walls. I will take a horn and all my weapons I mentioned before (using composite bow first and carrying my double handed in scabbard, the shield and the long sword on my backs - I dont care about the spears anymore, I am heavy enough)
BTW, concentrating on multiple RP major events at a time is tricky for me, so this fight is being delayed until after the SW finale is done.
Technically speaking Level 1 players are no more dangerous than level 1 bad guys... but Warriors have an edge.
Not that it is in any way necessary, but does anyone have any nin-standard/oddball strategy they wish to use, so I can account for it in advance?
Ok, I have been making a few quick looks at how the game stands, and pruned the Roll of Honour (which is still unfinished, so short I am of time...)
So, the way I see it, we have 11 players in the frame right now, 7 Elven, one half-elven, two Dunadain and only one person with no Elven blood in him, Argentis. Snobs!
Annúnfuin, could you refresh my mind as to where you are from, as a Dunadain? See, if I am losing the vets in my game, I am going to havre to do the best with the Dunadain to represent the people with ties to Arthedain- even Argentis does not count as he was not in the first game. In fact, I think it is only Palanfirith and Vardalain left. And where IS Fitch, anyway? But don't feel obliged to be Arthedani; feel free to be a Gondorian Dunadain- plots are available for them.
Talking of which, it is my Elven plots that have been considerably overloaded! So as time goes by, you Elves are going to have to share at least- my idea was there would be no more than 3.
Anyway, the roster stands as this:
Argentis (gatehouse)
Andromir
Annúnfuin (gatehouse)
Eliara
Palanfirith
Vardalain
Aiwendil
Darvan
Palidan (gatehouse for signalling)
Corlindel (front left tower)
Revan (gatehouse or where sent)
Others still have leisure of placement and it is not too late to change.
BTW, on the subject of central command and control. Do one of you guys want to do it- which is worth extra xp if done well, but means that if you do badly, things could go VERY badly. It might also mean deciding a leader, which is not easy, especially with the new intake, and you may also feel it adds a level of complication you do not want whilst trying to get used to the game.
Elsewise you can put yourselves under Baranar's command. Technicaly you are, of course, under his command anyway, but note how Theoden may have been in command at the Hornburg but had no objection to Aragorn directing the Elves- Baranar will let you run yourselves if you wish.
If you decide to let him do it, then I will run these things for you on the idea that Baranar is no fool- but you will be expected to accept his authority directly during battle.
Something else for you to think about...
