I think t'would be best to try and take down the two sword carrying battle orcs. The crossbow'men' can be fire at by the archers.
Okay, my plan goes like this,
We split Baranar's men. Half stays with the Melee PCs and the other half man one of the walls.
The Melee charge at the battle orcs. While they are doing this, the archers shoot into the other, lesser, orcs.
As soon as one of the Melee Battle Orcs fall, the Melee retreat.
The archers cover them, shooting at the crossbowmen and the leader.
Before they have time to reform, the other half of Baranar's men hit the flank, from the battlements, then retreat, holding the stairs up to the battlements.
Is that remotely acceptable?
These aren't super-orcs! These are standard Orcs! Except the Black Orc, of course, he is a personality. But the others come under the simple entry 'Orc' rather than 'Weak Orc'. They have a Defensive score of 30 (50 for the crossbowmen when behind their shields; 5 when not), a stamina of 60, a Manoeuvre score of 10, and an offensive score of 60.
The Black orc is ?/?/?/?- find out the hard way. And I mean hard.
About 40 men of Baranar's, including him himself, are still fighting in the Courtyard; about the same number of Orcs are still in the fight also, leaving enough outside to move in and occupy the fort. This is definitely te final battle; if they can't take you now, they cannot afford any more casualties.
