USH'S LOTR RP Game part 2- The Fortress of Baranar

Cut it in half? You'd be lucky, ever tried to cut through sheer metal?

The creature meets your blade. It seems to make some form of unearthyly hiss as your blades lock in a clinch...

You don't quite get a hard enough blow in, Argentis. The creature then tries an enormous sweep to strike at both you AND Talin...

(I hate sheer metal...unless I'm wearing it)

*pretends to throw a bomb in in the creature's mouth*

😄

*gets back to game*

Anglomir forces the creature back. "Vardalain, get it!"

(These are Barrow-wights, by the way.)

Noticing the Dunlendings coming her way Itarilde thinks she's stayed too long. So she turns back out of the sight of the orc camp, and hopefully the Dunlendings...
(please god, I hope so.. lol)

(You only just noticed this? )lol

(LOL CandyKorn...)

As the creature attacks Argentis and Talin, Will gets behind it and tries to hack off it's left leg.

aah crap
I try to duck underneath the blow using my sword to catch the blow should it follow me down

EDITED

BECAUSE THAT IS METAGAMING, just because you know how to defeat wights from the book, doesn't mean your CHARACTER knows how to defeat wights. I doubt any of us have ever encountered wights before

(Point taken-But by now, your characters would surely have found there attacks are not doing anything.)

Sorry, Candy, they can work things out for themselves...

Your problem, Candy, is your horse, With the fog lifting, it is rather hard to just sneak away. That patrol is coming closer though...

Anglomir, it is strong er than you- you decidedly do not force it back!

Argentis, there is an almost comical reason why that won't work. He is aiming for a Dwarf! That blow is at your leg height...

The sword bites into your side, penetrating you badly. You do, at least, take the fall for Talin.

William... seriously, mate, you aren't going to hack off anything. Your small blade clangs uselessly on it.

(No! 😛 )

(You called my character Candy, it's Itarilde 😛)
(also, you said I go over a small hill, I said I went back over the way I came, back to the corpse?)

damn, I try to drag myself out of there as fast as possible

When I use your posting name, Candy, it means I am referring to you and not your player. Obviously Itarilde knows nothing of me altering posts!

Ok, that small hill (actually a Down, obviously enough) is exposed- they will most likely spot you if you go that way. You can try and out-run them again of course.

Ok, you can drag yourself painfully away, Argentis... the Wight will turn its attention towards Talin.

They are, indeed, Wights- the Elves amongst you can have deciphered that at last (if any of you had gotten a look at one you would have known). But Wights belong to a far gone age! How can they be here, now! These creatures of pure darkness, bitterness, hate and evil are rather like mini-Nazguls. To overcome them with conventional weaponry is hard indeed, but not impossible.

(ok, gotya..)

Itarilde, Knowing she'd be spotted easily soon, so eventually decides to try and get a head start.. before they notice her, riding at full speed in the diretion of the south road, she knows they've probably seen her by now, and expects another chase...

William tries to get the attention of the Wight on him so Argentis and Talin can do their work, doing anything to get noticed. Damn, I hate only being 3 feet 10 inches tall... Will thinks to himself.

Hmm... to get its attention, why not make use of a few Hobbity tricks from the films, William?

-

The Dunlendings raise a cry when they see you, Itarilde. The cry is soon echoed around the camp...

"aww feck..."
Itarilde Slightly suspected this would happen, things had suddenly became very difficult.
Itarilde kept racing, the path of the southroad was coming into sight.
*I hope I survive this* T
The fate of Men and Arvedui were all Itarilde could think of...

Anglomir releases his lock with the Wight and spins around to swipe at it's back.
