(Sorry for the delay, guys, took so long trying to update Matrix last night during the server move, I fell asleep afterwards!)
That these bodies are already skeletons, in these freshly dug excavations, makes it less likely to be a grave. These bodies are old- very old. They have been plundered.
Ah! Good thinking, Palanfirith, Crebain, becuase...
You glance upwards.
There is one following you!
And not just you alone. Aiwendil, you see another one of thise black birds circling high above the fortress, and above the Orcs that William and Anglomir are folloiwng flies another, unseen by the Hobbit and Gondorian below.
William- I am afraid you have mistaken these highly-trained Orcish soliders for Dunlending rabble. This Orc is a professional and there is no way you can draw and fire before him when his bow is already notched. He shoots you in the side. He then turns and runs, crying out the alarm to the others.
You may wish to do otherwise, Anglomir? The others are standing, ready to fight. William, you are hurt but the arrow did not hit anything TOO important. You can bind the wound quickly. You hear rumour Orcs pison their arrows, which is worrying, but perhaps it isn't so. Besides, Hobbits are hardy creatures.
Back at Baronar, a seocond camp has arrived, to join the first. Baronar's scouts report about one hundred Orcs have arrived.
"Too many for me to chase away," says Baronar. "They will try and box us in for a siege."
Sorry, Aiwendil, Palanfirith isn't with you! Just Talin right now, I think.
Vardalian, you aren't sure. There would be 100 people on you right now if you could be tracked that easily. Seems, at least, that it does not equate that if a Crebain can see you, everyone can. If only you knew how the Crebain functioned! This is the kind of thing Marakith likes to find out- it's all very well saying Crebain spy for the Witch-King, but how does that work, exactly?
Most certainly, though, no Crebain will enter Rivendell. And there seem to be no hostiles around as you sleep for the night.
