Elrond teaches you the arts necessary to cure the plague, Vardalain. It will take some effort on your part but once you understand the link between the land and the illness (actually, Phoe would be very handy for you here which is why I am kinda inclined to hover about on things until she is around again) it is quite easy. Elrond says that to gain experience in non-natural diseases may be a skill that is very handy for you, Vardalain...

Will I be getting unique Elven necklaces for show of rank, embossed E.E.E cuff links, limited edition coffee makers, full use of transportation; horses, wagons at my command and fine, fluffy, thin robes instead of that normal tattered, rugged crap because of this?

Or...

Is it just a fancy title that I can stick in front of my name for bragging rights and to sound more important than everyone else?

What you get to do, Sylvannas, is have the responsiblity of helping escort Elrond's valuable ambassadors back to the Fortress of Baronar! Ain't that cool!

Ok then folks, any preparations for the journey? You have a much better selection of supplies this time. However, your route will have to be the same again, down the river to the south to cross the Hoarwell and Brandywine. You then have a choice- cut acrosss Cardolan direct to Baronar, or head up north to take the road. Check the maps, I would.
