maybe being a cajun named lebeau, but i personally don't think any of the above could pass as Gambit. hes a very different person. the whole beauty of remy-my-love is that hes one in a couple zillion. you can't just take joe schmoe and say, 'here you go, its remy lebeau'... if anyone should play him, its either someone from home sweet home n'awlins, my homeboy, a guy named remy, (i wont use his last name here, but we arent related, hes no lebeau), or johnny depp. remy is gorgeous, has the accent, intonation, and devil-may-care charm, but not the experience, johnny is getting in on the years, but he is very talented at feeling a character, and hes a mean one on the accents. these are just my opinions, feel free to criticise.
I still say Collin Ferrell, straight billy bad ass! In addition, the director will have his own image of Gambit. I anticipated the usual comic book style movie characters. I think all of use would agree, that would look too campy! So what ever the director has in mind, hopefully he have the real XMen fans in mind, when creating Gambit for the X-Men (keyword coming up) Movie.
okay... good point. perhaps the best actor for the part is no one popular now. i wouldn't know, because he would be undiscovered as of yet. but if it had to be some well-known actor now, i say makeup can work wonders. go for johnny. he can understand our dear lebeau the best, i think, hes used to unusual roles, and as i stated before, hes got quite the knack for accents. and aside from my own, i hate bad cajun accents. so theres my answer. johny depp. thanks for actually bothering to listen to what i say.
speaking of listening... is anyone other than us the people writing this ever going to go to the 143rd page just to see our humble opinions? i tried to read my way here, but got bored on page one hundred seven. i guess my strength of resolve is lesser than that of my opinions. i still think that the role of gambit should go to johnny depp or an unknown. if i wasn't so sweet and babyfaced (im almost 17, but look practically preteen), not to mention reeking of feminine cuteness, i would play him. Or try. i couldn't get the role probable, and i don't have half his finesse and style. or masculinity, for that matter... anyhow, on the available picks - big no for orlando, huge no for colin, and a mediocre no for stephen. hes the best option of the three, though. anyhow... id love to hear from yall. please keep this cajun happy... cya!
Who should play gambit??
Ok, who should play Remmy?? AKA Gambit.
I think non of the above : 😕 Why? Becasue they don't match the characters profile. Gambit is NOT !!!! Short. He's not Brad Pitt look a like, and defenetly not Collin look a like. And even though Orlando is the guy of my dreams he's just not right for the part..... True they are all GREAT actors but Gambit needs to have a profile of his own. That's why I think it should be a new actor. Dark hair, suave personality and defenetly CUTE !!!!!
Ok well nice talking to all you Xmen fans 💃

I love Orlando, I LOVE Johnny, but I don't see it. I think the suggestion of Brad Pitt is awsome because he has the whole bad boy thing down, he could pass for it physically, he is famus which would increase the chances of my dream movie becoming a reality (see Gambit and Rogue spin off forum), he has that little wierdness that Remy has and yes, if you think about it he has a perfect smile, smirk, grin that a movie Gambit needs. Yep, I think he shall be my first choice, a good laugh too for it and he makes kick ass movies, Fight Club, Snatch, he could do this well. Secondly, I wonder about the actor who did Gambit's voice in the 90's cartoon, he played in Silk Stockings but I never saw it, but I am assuming he is a good looking guy and he certainly did a great job on the voice, plus he is sure to know a lot about the character which would help to create a movie Gambit we would all approve of. A Brad Gambit would bring fans to X3 making it very lilkely that there would be more made and it would make the spin off thing very likely too. They need a new Rogue though.
I agree gambitindaflesh, They defenetly need a New Rogue !!! I was thinking probably in the long shot Angelina Jolie. She's got the whole bad girl nice gal going on plus if we all remember Rogue was more of a sexy strong women. But I don't think she would like to play the role. (To bad for her). I'm going to check out "Silk stockings" You could be very right...
See yah,

I think they mean stephen dorff. hes in blade 1. deacon frost, vampire tyrant. hes not ugly, in fact, hes borderline hot, but remy just isnt in his blood. too bad about the short thing. you know whos got a bit of potential that no one has mentioned recently? tom cruise. id say no, but has anyone seen interview with the vampire? hes so dark and cold, but tortured, but charming, but omigod drool... remy and lestat share many qualities, which can be summed up with that silky voice, catlike grace, and smile to melt for. plus the dark side and the flaws. tom is a good actor. but i worry, because interview was in new orleans, and lestat was from france and had lived in new orleans for a long time, but tom bore no accent. directors choice? or inability to be cajun? hmmm...? anyway. brad is good. i still say either a no-name, johnny depp, or tom cruise. stephen dorff is the best pick of those available, though. hands down. pardon me while i laugh at the thought of orlando bloom. he has talent, f'sho. but i cant see the boy as remy. and i can see a lot. but not that. anyway. later, all. if you disagree with me or care to comment, im open to disses, compliments, agreement, or disagreement. or anything else. God and all of Heaven know that i love to hear from people. see y'all. or read y'all. whatever.
