Much as I think it shames X-Men lore NOT to have Rogue and Gambit get together, due to the Iceman/Rogue relationship, I just can't see it happening. The X-Men films have pulled in a lot of fans that weren't originally fans of the comics/cartoons.....etc, and may find a swap to some Cajun lovin a little hard to understand. Damn it Singer, why the hell put Rogue and Iceman together anyway? We should have seen him abandon her in X-2 because he was pissed off about her draining his powers! Then Gambit could move in and everything would be fine!

how about we get rid of anna paquin? i really hate her. she's a crummy rogue. sorry, but that's my opinion. and she totally ruins the gambit/rogue thingy. gambit can't be some idiot teenager. it was okay for iceman- he's immature as it is. for rogue, it was pushing the limits, but it was doable. but as for gambit? HELL no. i mean, HECK no. pardon my language. i'm really mad. gambit's whole sexy suave charm thing isn't something you'd ever find in a teenager. he's learned his sex appeal from much practice. some goofy kid would mess it up totally. we need a new rogue. this is the x-men. can't someone write in a body switch or something? argh! sorry. but i hate anna paquin. and now our movie has a major plot hole/mess up thing. darn it. okay. well, rant done. feel free to argue with me. i enjoy a pointless debate every now and then. love y'all! cya, sez me, laurel.
Well rogues GOTTA get older, right........ I've known teen's to be real slick, maybe he could be one of them. and I think that, anna is doing an ok job since rogue was a teen and just about scared of every thing, and how can you explain if IF we get someone new, HOW would you explain the age jump, and where are we gonna find an actress who would be Abel to have a southern accent, and risk being typecast for eternity!!!
i dont know if this has been brought up before or not, but i think shane west would look great as gambit. he'd have to color his hair a little, but he's got the right body, and he's a sexy badboy. anyone agree? And i dont like anna paquin either, so i think natalie portman would make a cute rogue...not that i lie her all that much either but i dont like the way anna portrays rogue

Personally, I still say Josh Holloway for Gambit.
Natalie Portman doesn't have the spunk that a good Rogue needs. Anna did okay, but she too lacked... something... I just can't put my finger on it.

I think Anna did a very good job as Rogue in the first film, she protrayed the "lonely, frightened" Rogue very well, which is what I think Singer was trying to put forward. I mean, the original Rogue from when she first discovered her powers. However, Rogue now needs to develop into the more fiesty character thats popular with the fans, and in X-2, I got the impression that that was what they were TRYING to do, however Anna kept slipping back into the shy role. That's my opinion! 😎
