i was going to give him a full-out laurel chewover. he would've gone away after that one, that's for sure. but people like him relieve the boredom and help change dull topics. it is funny. tom cruise is a no. though he has proved that he can play roles that seem beyond him. anne rice wrote a novel called interview with the vampire, which it was decided should be made into a movie. for the lead role, lestat, anne wanted rutger hauer. they gave her tom cruise. she was so pissed, she absolutely refused to see the movie before it came out. angry and anxious, she sat down in an ordinary movie theater and proceeded to be wowed. she said tom cruise was the best actor in the movie, and that he played the character with a depth she had never quite been able to grasp, even when writing the novel. so it's proved by trial that the boy can play what no one expects. although perhaps we should be worried, as lestat was the son of a french lord living in new orleans, and had no accent. someone having trouble? i'm sorry. i accidentally set my alarm for 3:30 a.m., and i'm really really tired. it's still only 4:30. geez. well, i have to pack.
