Keanu Reeves

I DO NOT have a 'crush' on Keanu.....if anyone i think Johnny Depp is the hottest thing on earth...besides the point, but i do not think Keanu is a horrible actor! Not at all....if he was a no good actor, i do not think that directors and writers and producers would risk hiering a no talent, horrible actor to do a massive high budget film....like Matrix...
He was so good in 'Watcher' and 'WAlk in the clouds' and even 'Speed'
How many films have you seen with Keanu? Matrix? and from that you have concluded hes a horrible actor....

Well first of all, people hire Keanu Reeves either because they are idiots, they are friends, he has the right "image" for the character (that does NOT mean they think he can act the part), or they think he will sell the movie because of the immense popularity of The Matrix. And do you really think I would judge someone's acting over 5 lines? Yes I have seen many of Keanu's movies, and i DO know what I am talking about. Speed? He sucked. Walk in the Clouds? Horrible. Hardball? Really bad. The Replacements? What the ****? Have you ever compared his work to that of a GOOD actor's? Compare it to Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, Cuba Gooding Jr. (in Jerry Maguire, not that snow dogs or boat trip bull shit), Michael Clarke Duncan? Face the facts, Keanu cannot act.

Oh, and despite what you may think, He is not amired by many in the business. And those who do admire him are amateurs

He obviously wasnt a one of actor, now was he...if he was he wouldnt be here now doing Matrix or what not, if he was truly no talent actor and if only amatures admire him...then why is he still here...making films?!?!?!

because people like you think hes a good actor. And I know what people in the business think because I KNOW people in the business. Ask any real actor and they will tell you the truth. And I already told you, there are matters of character image!! He also did not "bust his ass off" in The Matrix. The guy had 5 lines!! Uh-huh, that's really busting your ass off. And a lot of the scenes with him (and everyone else) are computer generated.

If Keanu is such a wonderful actor, then why has he been nominated for over 3 Razzies (for worst actor)?

And why is it any of your business who I know? Now I know that I probably sound like a 7 year old that doesn't want to admit he lied by saying "Why, don't YOU know??", but it's really none of your business. Do you guys even READ what I say? because it totally seems like you're blowing me off. So STOP ASKING. There's also the possibility that they want to win a Razzie (which, by the way, is the exact opposite of an Oscar. And i you STILL don't get it, it's an award given for sucking...horribly). And then there's the possibility that they only saw him in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, which he was fine in, only because it was such an easy role to play, because its a role made for laughs, and it had no depth.

I agree with what you're saying, I didn't say you were wrong in what you said, I didn't say he was an excellent actor either.

I said he is known for his research into the parts he plays... Which, I think, is why he's still around.

It's obvious poeple like him, I'm one of those people, so coming onto this thread telling us how crap he is isn't gonna change that.

Sorry if you felt unheard... but our opinion is equally as important as yours.
