I'm not very good at languages...

kes is right, the only thing you can blame phoe, is that you have the problem of having the second biggest spoken language in the world (or third, dunno about spanish anymore)

and I think most of us here, like kes said too already (darn, she's on the ball 😉 ) most of us just know their own language(s)

It's the most widely used language in the world, is the thing. Spanish may become a big rival but Cantonese (or Manadarin, I forget which one it is) is never going to be an established like English as it is only spoken in one (albeit one very BIG) place.

knowing a few languages is indeed cool and handy but nothing too special

You should be happy : you don't have to learn other languages. For me it's compulsory to learn at least two foreign languages.

well we have to learn one foreign and two OTHER domestic languages

i know english, thats enough.

I like the word "domestic" 😄

well national is another way to put it

I know I know...I learned latin... but I just like the phrase "domestic language"
