I mean, come ON, look at his life so far! Parents dead, godfather dead, and if Ron hooks up with Hermione, it's another burden to add...and a nasty one, I might add.

Look, I don't get why you feel compassion for Harry, I'm disappointed, and sad that you chose Ron.
J.K. Rowling created Harry's life sad right now...the only thing close to a parent that he had is gone. Who is he to turn to? Maybe Lupin, but I would prefer Hermione, because she's compasssionate, she's understanding, she would sympathise.
But if Ron took Hermione, there is still yet a chance that he may have lost his best friend(Ron's very passionate about extreme things, protective and all) if Ron think's Harry's a threat.
I will be most disappointed if Ron actually does hook up with Hermione... 🙁

Yeah, true. She's a weirdo, but Ron is kinda strange the quirky too. Plus in OOTP she seams to be kinda in to him, like always trying to talk to him and stuff and calling him ronald and what not. 😉
