I agree, I've heard people try to defend the H/Hr ship with pathetic excuses that don't even make sense. Harry and Ginny all the way!

And besides, Ginny has been introduced as a secondary prime charactor (much like Fred and George), and no one in her year has been introduced as a potential boyfriend to us yet, and we are too far along in the books to pair her up with a new charactor, am I right?

Well, if you count up all the people who notice how Harry's eyes are like his mothers, the list goes on and on. Lily also had vivid green eyes, which anyone could notice, and she passed them on to Harry.

If they don't get together, then why did she have Ginny ever like him in the first place? Jo's not the kind of person to put something in the books that will not be important later, so did she just have a "Ginny and Harry forever" heart attack and decide that it's all over?

And if she never got to know him more than just "famous Harry Potter," that could add to the affect of the crush.
