Didn't you ever watch the OLD Star Wars flicks? (I know this might be a bit off-Topic) But there was a love/hate relationship in that. Han and Leia had a love/hate relationship in those films. And they were definitely not 13.
about this, JKR said that Harry Potter is not the same as the Star Wars flick in an interview and she even said we should not compare it to Star wars, and another one if I would compare it to Star Wars its completely different bec Han is an action man there and Ron is not actually

I wasn't comparing it to Star Wars! I was just stating that not all love/hate relationships involve 13 year olds. Next time don't read into it like that! And who seriously cares if Ron's not the action type! And JK Rowling said that because some people thought Harry Potter would be related Voldemort! And she didn't want people to think that! Listen. The hero doesn't always have to have the girl! It seems that u H/HR supporters think that. Everything has to be a knight in shining armor thing with you people! The guy needs to be the prince charming in order to get the girl! That's pretty much what you're making Harry look like with these quotes! "Oh, Harry and Hermione get along with each other real well, so that means they must like each other! " I mean seriously, people! not all relationships work out like that! Most of the time, Relationships are more like Ron and Hermione's relationship! You can't expect main characters to like the main girls all the time! Sometimes, you need to give a little twist to things. Everybody seemed to expect Harry and Hermione at first. then the fourth book came along. and now that I look back at the other HP books before the fourth, there even seems to be a relationship between Ron and Hermione growing then, too. Like I noticed that Ron always seemed to stick up for Hermione whenever he could. In POA the book, not movie, Ron stuck up for Hermione in class when snape called her an insufferable know-it-all and had gotten detention for it. You don't really notice that before the fourth book. In the movie, They took out the hug scene because it was too "foreshadowing" the future Harry Potter books. And JK Rowling had stated herself that the filmmakers had foreshadowed stuff that she didn't give hints about 'til the fourth book. And the only reason that she probably doesn't answer the Ron and Hermione questions is because when they asked her that question she almost gave it away. Even the actors think it's going to happen. Daniel Radcliffe was asked in an interview, once, what he thinks might happen in the future books, and he said that he thinks Ron and Hermione will get together. Rupert and Emma also think so. (Though they don't want it to happen. but they know it's going to end up that way.)
hey alright alright!! , but also I don't think that the "hero always gets the girl" bec. my favorite ship in the starwars are Han and Leia personally and I dont like Luke there, I love them with their bickering and also the sexual tension bet. them but really in Harry Potter its Harry and Hermione whom I really love and ship
Hi everyone.
I'm new to these forums and I would like to say that Hermoine is going to hook up with Harry because she has better chemistry and has very much in common with Harry than she does with Ron. Any relationships that are like Ron/Hermoine and Han/Leia always ends up a disaster because couples fight too much and don't always get along which results in partners cheating on the other, divorce, spousal abuse, restraining order, etc. These kinds of problems are the reason I feel that opposites DO NOT attract like so many would believe and why I feel that Ron and Hermoine will not make a good couple since they bicker too much like they're brother and sister and their feelings for each other are more platonic than Harry/Hermoine.
Sure, J.K. Rowling is the author and only she decides who gets to hook up with who but even she must know what I'm talking about above and besides, I don't agree that the hero doesn't always get the girl because 1) Girls would tend to fall for the kind of guy who would risk his life to help others, 2) The sidekicks don't serve any purpose but to help out the heroes, and 3) the only way for the hero to not get the girl is for the author to kill him off at the end of the story which I doubt J.K. would do to Harry. When 2 people argue, that (to me) does not mean that they secretly like each other, it means that they feel animosity towards each other when both feel disrespected by the other because otherwise, Draco Malfoy should come out of the closet and admit that he's in love with Harry.
