Of course I don't mean immature. If he's mature, he'll be able to handle the fact that a girl has a crush on him, as opposed to many of the horribly immature boys I know who completely flipped out when they found out I liked them. How do I know he is? Well buddy, I've read him through and through, about a total of 30-something times, so I know how he is.
I understand now. I was reading it fast before and the wording confused me.
How about we continue this debate after we read the sixth book and see where it takes us? There will, hopefully, be more information and not just speculations.

The sixth book will probably not only answer some questions, but solve the whole problem...I do think that Ron & Hermione will hook up by then.

Most definitely. That's why I think it won't happen. JKR wouldn't possibly split up those two.

Uh...I think you missed my point. I really don't care whether my 1337 was right or not...
i saw another theory that matched my own - its about Ron & Hermione secretly dating - i thought exactly the same thing reading the first few pages of OotP. They were together a long time before Harry arrived at Grimmauld Place.
They might have been together even before they moved in at Grimmauld's, probably at the Burrow first, and then during the move out.
So who knows what they've been doing all that time, they cant be talking about Harry all the time. Its not hard to think they've had some sweet moments together all that time 😍 the book mentions some moments when they would whisper to each other while casting short glances at Harry - they could be hiding it from him - coz they are either afraid he'd get mad or they just dont want him to feel worse, alienated, after all the things he's gone thru - alone.
