if i did name one of my kids after a lotr character it probably would be eowyn, i would name her elanor but i think of that movie 'the haunting' every time i hear the name, so no... for a boy, i still like barliman, but if i had to, bill-after bill the pony, because bill the pony rocks my socks

I'd totally go with a LOTR name for any children, pets, etc... actually, now that I think about it, we have two refrigerators and so instead of going "the one by the stove" and "the one by the sink" we were going to number them, but we named them Sam and Frodo instead... am I crazy? They actually fit their names... I actually think I am crazy, but I like Sam and Frodo...

if i marry a guy that isn't at least 5'8 we will have hobbit children, then i would have to name my kids after hobbits :😖tarts to rethink the 5'8 criteria:: a middle name of peregrin...hehehe, that actually means 'wayward bird' or something like that, it was a vocabulary word last year in my English class, randomness...OH WELL!!! white lady, i like ur new sig 🙂

lol, Rosie would work, I think I'd name my kids normal LOTR names, like Sam, Rosie, etc... poor things if I call them Galadrial and Legolas. You could go house is The Shire, bedroom is The Shire, and then each room all depending on their location in relation to your bedroom so that your house turns into a map of Middle Earth sort of... wait... that doesn't work, if I want to go direction correct I'd be in Mordor in my room... oh well... I'm actually really short, (aka 5'4"😉 so if I marry a short guy then my poor innocent children will be short too (hahaha! Hobbit names for them) that's actually really sad, I'm planning my children's names already... I'd really like to teach my husband (no victom chosen yet...) Elvish so we can speak it at home, it's such a pretty language...

yeah but the names have to be attested somewhere... like be from the bible or other names that are not made up by yourself - so you also cant use names invented by Tolkien
