You are obsessed if you go to see some strange latin theatre thing and instead spend the time passionately discussing old versions of Tengwar and Sarati and potential initials in other Tolkien languages and writing systems with your neighbour... and in the break go out to draw tengwar signs in the snow and try to convince your friend that Lambe really looks better in Bookhand Style than in Cursive and Sarati....
(by the way her initials looked way better then the ones I tried... she's lucky the name she used started with a vowel and included the best letter ever, L, while mine has a diphtong after the first consonant - also and L - and diphtongs imo always look ugly and are so not usable for an initial-combination)

Hah finally found something... it doesnt look elegant, but at least its not as boring as the others... looks like a Moon C with a Star * in the middle of it - and the best thing - that includes my fave letter in three elvish writing systems 😄 😄 😄 Tengwar, Angerthas and the Runes of Gondolin (Tengwar one looks a little like C - with a bar at the top, difficult to describe, maybe like T in some writings... hm, well, the Gondolin-Rune-L looks like x and the Angerthas-L like t (somehow ... erm... or like and I which is crossed out) so if you write on over each other you get a moon and a star 😄 )

You know you're obsessed when you're listening to the soundtrack and you say the lines in the movie pertaining to the song that goes with it...

*raises hand* GUILTY!!! 😄 And proud of it haha. My pages are curled at the ends....Don't exactly know how....And my cover's coming off. And I have the one volume edition of LOTR, and big books (for me at least) get torn up easier...especially when I read them over and over and over about a million times, like with LOTR 😛
You know you're obsessed when your mom (or dad or whoever) grounds you from anything related to LOTR and yells at you when you talk about because you never talk about anything BUT LOTR.....This is me haha. My mom actually grounded me from going see ROTK just becaue I've seen it six times. She thinks six times is too much (which it's NOT) so she's not allowing me to go see it for a while....By the time she decides to let me go again, it'll probably be out of theaters!!!! *cries* 🙁 And every time I say something related to LOTR (ex: Whenever I talk about Billy or Tolkien or a line from the movie/book), she gets all mad and says "You are way too obsessed with that! I want you to stop talking about it all the time!!" and she starts yelling at me and crap. Like it's my fault Tolkien's a genius and PJ makes awesome movies and Billy's the sexiest Scot there ever was and ever will be! She acts like it's my fault! Haha. 😉

My two LoTR editions look horrible, so I want a new one... there are several beautiful german editions available at the moment, but too expensive... so I think Il buy an english one. I found a nice one from I think 1972 or something, in red leather with a golden tree on the front page... looks nice... also expensive but ok. Hope Il get it somewhere.
