Kellan, sloshing along beside her fellow Master, kept her voice as low as his. "You know these younger Knights tend to have too quick a head and an even quicker tongue, Marcus." She cast her gaze briefly toward the departing herd of animals then back to the ground in front of them, watching her boots submerge into muck with each step.
"And of course I do appreciate your concern regarding my general well being. Lance and I having bounties on our heads has become the least of our concerns now that we have the location of the Masoleum," Kellan said. "When I encountered my old friend, Master Scovione, on Malastare, he strongly urged me to abandon the mission. Very strongly. And Kir Ascar's cryptic warnings of doom regarding the Masoleum still ring in my ears. I cannot say I do not have a sense of foreboding, Marcus, and you feel that. " She gripped his elbow and lowered her voice even further. "Doubts I do not nor will not have. I will see this mission to its fruition. My faith is in the power of the Force. But know this that I know now - the Masoleum possesses the Dark Side as a power we have as yet to experience in either of our lifetimes. That much I can sense. Beyond that, we have only our knowledge, our skill and our belief in the Force to help us through whatever lies ahead."
"Do you want to address the serious nature of this mission with our young companions here or shall I ?"
*Kosta was having trouble walking through the swamp, his heavy boots didnt help at all, neither did his cape.*
"Is there any possibility tat the building might be cloaked? I mean, its not impossible. Is it?"
*Kosta turned to Xeth who seemed to know things like that*
"ARGH! Something just brushed up against me! Bloody swamp. Smells like........gone off jawa juice"
"Well this was a nice vile planet we landed on now isnt it? But isn't there a possibility that this fuel source could be a natural one? like a large untapped fuel reserve, or it could be a sign of some unknowen civilization, I really dunno what do you make of this?" Roan turns to slap a bug that was hovering dangerously close to his neck, and decides to put his hood up.
"Always a possibility, Kosta. I wouldn't doubt it for one second..." Xeth says, stumbling in the mud with his bare feet. "As for the fuel store being a natural resource, the amount of it seemed rather large to be a natural resource. And I doubt there are any people here...they wouldn't need fuel anyway..."
You don't have any evidence of a building, Kosta- as pointed out, this wouldn't be a smart place to put one. And a cloaking device that size would need a power source you would have detected, and also it would have caused a visible distortion effect that your ships probably would have noticed, and that you would certainly notice from down here with your Jedi senses.
That said... it was a REFINED fuel supply you detected- certainly not naturally occurring. It has got to be here somewhere. You guess it could just be byried in the swamp- maybe scattered from a destroyed cargo ship. But your instincts tell you otherwise- you KNOW the Dark Siders came here to make use of that fuel store. It would have to be accessible.
BTW, Roan and Sky, your pilot has come with you all- "In case we can find some spare parts here," he says. He has his gun drawn.
"I've got a bad feeling about this," he says.
"I don't think we should. This is a mysterious planet, there could be anything out here that could kill us. Including the Dark Jedi," Xeth says firmly. "Plus, I think it is best that we know where each other are..."
"I say we trudge ahead till we find something...perhaps this thing is under ground?"
Despite the odds being very slim of anything being there, let alone the ability to be able to, Xeth takes out his lightsaber and tries cutting throught he ground.
As I said before when underground was suggested- to build a structure here would be foolish, to build underground here insane! In a Galaxy where you can build cities in space or underwater, it is of course possible, but that would require a major industrial effort- highly unlikely, the colonisation failed, after all.
It fizzles. The grounds is mostly water. The foliage burns, though.
